Texas Tech is a LOCK, SHRINK. Beat Kansas, A&M twice. Won 6 of last 8 heading in. They will be a 10 or 11 seed.

Sorry General, Texas Tech is anything but a lock...

With an RPI in the 40's, how can you say they are a LOCK???

Most bracketologists have ODU ahead of Texas Tech...

ODU won 12 out of past 13 and beat GEORGETOWN @ GEORGETOWN baby!!!

ODU is in 29 of 33 sites that predict the feild. In 3 of the 4 that have updated today, Fox sports has never has ODU in. We all know how legitimate that media source is!

They dont list the USA today in their matrix, where ODU is a 10 seed baby! :party

GL Shrink, ODU deserves a bid. Id love to see them play Winthrop in the 1st round. I think that would be a great game.

I am just using logic, SHRINK. I will tell you this though as I started a thread last night in the hoops room, TT should go to NIT. They have no chance at winning a National title, about like the Monarchs. :smokesmal

Also, if Miles Brand has any say, then they will likely go to NIT where they belong IMO!

I listed the favorites as teams that could play their way in. Miami Ohio and the other underdogs of course will have the chance to win those automatic bids.

Shrink, we all know you want to see ODU get in - and they might and they might not - but you listing Syracuse as a bubble team shows the level of desperation.

Syracuse's chances of not getting in are the same as Florida's or NC's.

I do think ODU will get a bid as I believed ever since VCU won by 6 Monday. (argh, we had plus 5 and lead late)

OK St. beat A&M yesterday, how can they be out? People were saying A&M could get a #1 seed. when they beat texas today, you'll feel differently.

Re: There are 58 LOCKS to get into March Madness after last night...

If you believe Nevada and Xavier are in (which is a very safe bet), and you believe Purdue, Illinois and Kansas State are now likely to get there (which is pretty reasonable), that leaves only one at-large spot for the rest of the pool -- and that assumes that Memphis doesn't lose in the C-USA final Saturday.
Here's the pool of teams that appear to be in contention for that spot:
Air Force, Stanford, Florida State, West Virginia, Old Dominion, Drexel, Missouri State and Appalachian State.
Of those teams, I believe Stanford, Air Force, Old Dominion and Drexel have the best cases -- and right now, it appears Old Dominion would deserve the nod on paper. The Monarchs should be ahead of Drexel given the head-to-head sweep, better CAA standing and better record against the top CAA opponents. Air Force beat Stanford (minus a Lopez) by 34 in Palo Alto -- a nice tiebreaker to own -- and has a vastly better RPI, but ODU's profile seems to slightly edge Air Force's (and Stanford's) in direct comparison -- even though I suspect Stanford would be a more formidable first-round opponent given Anthony Goods' return and its unusual size inside.
Don't be fooled by the CAA's No. 13 conference RPI -- that is a product of the bottom few teams in the league (much like the Big East and Pac-10) being very poor. The top four teams in that league are very solid and ODU has established itself as the No. 2 team in that pecking order. The Monarchs had won 12 in a row before losing to George Mason in the CAA semis -- a performance that was still deeper than Air Force or Stanford managed in their tournaments. It's worth wondering, though, if teams like Indiana, Texas Tech (especially) and Syracuse have anything to worry about. If they're not 100 percent safe, is there a team in that pool that should replace them? That's worth another look (with more rest) on Saturday.

Feeling is they need to win the conference championship-- I would agree with that. Team did not win a road game during the conference and last 10 games is bad.

I think this list is very good.

Has Xavier done enough--they really seem to be a constant under-achiever.

Missouri Valley headed for two teams--that is ridiculous but probably how it works out.

Xavier 24-8 (13-3 A-10)

Key Wins- Villanova, Illinois, Kansas State, Umass
Tough Losses- @Alabama, @Creighton
Bad Losses- Cincinatti, Duquense, St. Louis

You decide.....If I had to guess (although I am an A-10 biased kid, I would say they are in) What do you think?
