Joe Wilson is married to Valerie Plame, who he "outed" on his Who's Who listing years ago. She worked for the CIA, which sent him to Africa to find out if Iraq had been shopping for uranium. He came back and told the CIa that yes, Iraq had been to Africa seeking Uranium.
Wilson writes an op-ed column in the new york times that says he found no evidence that Iraq had been to Africa looking for Uranium, and he thought our position on Iraq was bad. He says the Bush admin is trying to discredit him because of what he had to say about his trip to Africa, and he's upset because his wife had been outed but he never claims she was covert.
So.....
special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald opens an investigation on who outed Plame, even though there is no evidence at all that she was in a position to be outed. He discovers that Richard Armitage, formerly of the State Dept. is the one who named her to columnist Bob Novak. So what does Fitzy do???
He puts Scooter Libby on trial for having just as bad a memory as all the witnesses Fitzy used agianst him and joe wilson, for that matter.
And the left is using all this as definitive proof of the Bush administrations malfeasance?
hmmm
i know most of that way over your head doc moron so I will give you a day or two to search for the cut and paste answer..but those are the facts like them or not.
