without a doubt the best team, and playing the best too.

doesn't always work out where the best team wins, but quite often it does. with pitt/ohio st/etc having to barely survive against mediocre teams i would have a hard time believing they could beat florida or unc at this point.

subtract the 2 numbers if you want to determine the point spread.
so for example unc with an unbiased spread would be favored by 9 1/2 over pitt on a neutral court (should be favored by 13 over usc but it's only 8 hint hint).

so keep in mind unc will be favored big time over every other team. still have to win 4 games in a row as a favorite though but i'll take my chances with that proposition at 4-1 rather than working uphill.

since the sagarin ratings are friggin posted in the usa today and accordint to the sagrain ratings unc shoudl be favored by 13 and north carolina is not 'just' a regional team but beloved all over the country

why the fuck would books post the spread at 8.5

if you don't care to take advantage of bad lines then why are you betting on sports and/or on the eog forums?

line opened at 10, bunch of action on usc has pushed it down to 8-8.5

i think not just duke but also north carolina and all great teams are just as hated around the country by some as they are "beloved".
