No team had ever been national champs in both sports at the same time, so anything the Gators might do is setting a new standard. Since it was usually UCLA and the ACC schools before winning most hoops championships while Notre Dame, SC, the Big 10 and the old Big 8 winning most football titles the two being on top together was a real longshot.

Even if they did pull off a back to back you'd have to be insane to compare this squad to others who have pulled it off before. These guys aren't even in the class of one-time winners from a decade ago. Just the way college hoops is these days with the early entries to the NBA.

the entire game has changed, down to the recruiting. now you have to understand a 5 star player thats one and done may not have the same value as a 3 star player who will be there for 4 years. so much different these days. next year, eric hayes will be more valuable to his college than kevin durant.

Most of them came late, and should have been lottts more in that second half.
Even Dirty & I were talking about it yesterday.
Oregon got away with numerous clear-cut fouls, especially several over the back of Noah & Horford no-calls .....
