What is a "bill of particulars". a lot of denied motions for the defendants...

Re: BOS Docket for those who wish to comb through it

What is a "bill of particulars". a lot of denied motions for the defendants...

I think that is when the lawyer asks the gov't for a list of the exact instances or circumstances of what the defendant is charged with or broke the law specifically so the lawyer will be able to defend him. An example would be like in the Enron case. If a defendant was charged with fraud in the conspiracy EXACTLY what did he do? Was he the accountant who changed the numbers, or was he aware of the doctored numbers and covered up etc. In plain layman terms...so exactly what have you got on my client?

Re: BOS Docket for those who wish to comb through it

Interesting read. I heard the Rx is gonna pay out some form of guarantee for those that got shafted when BoS shut down? Is that true?

Re: BOS Docket for those who wish to comb through it

the "guarantees" by online sportsbook sites are a joke.
you had to ask for it ahead of time, provide blood urin and stool samples, show screenshots before and after every bet, have your computer inspected by a microsoft employee at least once a day, bet only on the kansas city chiefs, and have all your toenails unclipped for at least four years.

if you meet those stipulations, then you can walk into the rx offices between 9:30 and 9:31 on the 3rd friday of any february that has a leap year to collect. lol

so does this mean the Rx isn't going to pay? :(

Re: BOS Docket for those who wish to comb through it

here's a quote from wilheim at the rx:
"The only guarantee ever issued is the well documneted guarantee on deposits (up to $10,000) at BetOnSports for Rxers back in August of 2005. The Rx. has a list of posters who made claims for the guarantee and have all intentions of honoring it once all efforts to get the true debter BetOnSports to pay what they owe first."

so in other words try their darndest for 5 more years to get bet on sports to pay them, after that hope everyone forgot. if some still remember, then claim it is an undue hardship to hold them to it. or else claim they didn't follow all of the rules of the guarantee.

i would think the chances of the rx paying anything are about the same as the chances of bos paying anything.

btw, wilheim then went on to say he doesn't have access to the list or know the info. so the head mod at the rx has no idea who would get paid back? kind of hard to serve your customers if you don't know who any of them are.
