This is now all over GOOGLE NEWS...
Touts: Joe Gavazzi Allegedly Stealing Baseball Picks from Poster
written April 21, 2007
It has been brought to our attention that someone affiliated with the Private Players Club of Pittsburgh, namely Joe Gavazzi appears to be stealing Baseball Picks from a poster who provides FREE plays with write ups on a couple of posting forums, one of them being EOG.com.
Here's what the poster had to say about the blatant similarity of his picks. It is pertinent to note that the poster's plays are usually released several hours before Joe Gavazzi's are.
"It was brought to my attention elsewhere that my picks this year have been very similar to those of Private Players of Pittsburgh, mainly Joe Gavazzi. I was wondering if you know about his history or background as the similarities of picks are potentially beyond coincidence, and he may be using my plays.
His plays today were:
Cubs
Mets
Pirates
Angels
Blue Jays
Mine were:
Cubs
Mets
Pirates
Angels
Blue Jays
Twins
White Sox
His plays Monday were (I don't yet have access to yesterday's picks)
Brewers
Padres
Mine were:
Brewers
Padres
Dodgers
Giants
His plays Saturday ( I don't have access to Sunday's picks)
Cubs
Orioles
Mine were

Brewers
I then see his plays on this link with more similarities.

In my opinion, it is quite apparent that the similarities are beyond mere coincidence.
Here's what one other EOG poster had to say regarding this matter.
"I tallied up his plays from the OK Sports Monitor and for PPP they go way back to the 80's and he was under 52% for the non-baseball sports (my baseball records are normally very limited and require a different method to add things up than the others so I did not here). Over at Who2beton is he is 53% including baseball across all sports including baseball (but I have NO idea how they grade so this could easily be inflated) over the last 3 years.
I had contacted Gavazzi regarding his records. He said he was 56-58% in every sport every year. When I told him that 2 monitored sources had him across thousands of picks at far less he said that his picks are not necessarily the same as those he gives the monitor and they are weighted differently as well. I of course was alarmed and did not believe that such a strong subset was withheld from not one but two monitors. I tabulated hs higher graded plays and they were indeed higher but still the majority of his plays were 3* and under and this meant these were doing awful. I inquired again and showed him my work on his 4* and ups, to show I was a serious client and really wanted to know how he's done, but he said that he would not divulge his strategy for releasing plays to monitors. I asked again but he would not reveal his top-secret strategy he uses that gets him 57% in his own "recordkeeping" versus his publicly documented record of under 52%.
When a capper won't stand by his record and gives select tiny samples he can not win. When he tries to convince you that he can win despite all the contrary evidence, and won't even discuss his own theory of why the contrary evidence is "incorrect" he is a fraud. From Wikipedia, in the broadest sense, a fraud is a deception made for personal gain...John Cooke Fraud Report offers a three word fraud definition: "Gain Through Misrepresentation."
Is this a coincidence? We think not, but you make the call.
