I will say that when I switched from DB to GJ I was not enthralled with the product, as it is different. But once you get used to it and Know How and where to change things, then it is just as good at its worst and better in Most cases... Only Issue I have with them now is times of games get off in the AM sometimes, but other than that all is well

Hmmm... I've used the Don for 4 years, at a MAJOR US facing book, profits have steadily increased from every NA sport, there's a few blips here and there with access but nothing to write home about. I Looked at the GJ site, s'ok, nothing to make me think WOW! DB still rules the roost, we won't change. DB could care less if you subscribe, strongarm?....c'mon, they are a legit biz....they cut you off if you don't pay yer bill on time....who does'nt? DB is the best in the biz....by a wide margin.

i didnt watch the thing, so i dont know Aks stance on it. hopefully he wasnt disrespectful to GJ. ive got no problems with the guy. when something comes up, i talk to him man to man and hes cool about shit. hes got a lot going on. it seems hes fucked some people over, im not sure about all that...if he has, hopefully hes changed.

I have no ties to either site. I compared the sites during Feb/March and found GJ had faster updates on many of the key shops. DB was faster on many as well. I actually spoke to customer service about the issue. I gave the lines moves on about 4-5 key books b-4 he had them. He couldn't offer an explaination. I took the time to write a lengthy email to mangement asking why I should pay 3x as much for their service when Pinnacle and several other key shops are updated faster on GJ. I received a letter back acknowledging the pinnacle problem but a denial that any other shops were updated faster on GJ. I was dissappointed that he was unwilling to be truthful with me about the issue. It is a FACT that GJ has faster updates than DB on some key shops. The problem is many are updated faster on DB. I believe that people just stay with DB becuase they have been with them for years. The line change speeds are not that different. I believe you either buy both or GJ by itself. If having the fastest line updates is really that important to you, DB is NOT faster on all the key shops, thus you need both. If you don't care about a few seconds here and there, why would you urinate your money away to DB? GJ is good enough and pretty much the same product for much less. I do like the DB layout better and I always found customer service at DB to be very good. Apples and oranges, I canceled both for the summer break and will see if either has improved by August.

I am a good computer person, directed by two guys who know this business inside and out. That combination makes for a great product. I really dont want to argue with people about this. I will take critcism and try to improve (I always have), but nothing is gained from blanket statements. If someone can tell me where DB is better than GJ you better believe it will be on the docket to get corrected. So far nobody has been able to come in and definitively give a reason as to why DB is better. All I have heard is that our lines are the same and we are half price. Website is being updated now. We just never really put too big a priority on the website because most of the more hard-core gamblers could really give a shit about a website. Our bread-and-butter has always been the service, we never relied on advertising revenue too much, so the website was always an after-thought. Sure, it probably hurt us a little, which is why we are working on it now.

I've asked before, but I'll ask again... is there any plan to get matchbook back on the feed, I know it was slightly crippled last year (probably from their XML) but was still very useful for me.
Alternatively, or also, I'd like the option to display (for example) Pinnacle and Pinnacle_PR side by side, rather than having to click "previous", enabling me to do a direct comparison on how far the line has moved without having to do the extra two clicks back and forth.

You're right that your clients couldn't care less about your website. They just want the service. I totally agree on that. I was thinking more along the lines of potential clients being turned off by first impression, but then again, most potential clients already know what the service is and what it does so they too may not care either...

It wasnt really written to do that. Technically speaking it would be an easy adjustment for me to make, the problem is this:
If we start allowing too much customization, people will start to get confused. People are used to clicking the prev button and seeing prev numbers and then jumping back to the current values. When we first came out we were allowing all sorts of views and people got confused. For instance we were allowing you to go into a menu and 'checking' sports. So you could check nba, mlb, and leave others unchecked and it would only show those. People were extrememly confused.

They are up now Santo. Sorry it took so long, I got hit with a nasty case of the flu last week. We have procedures in place here not to move anything to production without my proof-reading and clearance. For that reason it got delayed slightly. Hope they aid in your bankroll.
