Many forums promoted the deadbeat scammer ("Lenny") including SBR (SportsbookReview) who gave the scammers an A rating. Recently, some players who were stiffed tried to help each other out by sharing the name of the deadbeat scammer. The players were not successful because: "Bill Dozer" deleted the identifying information of the deadbeat scammer. SBR has always tried to assist Cascade with this scam and that continues through today.This scam is still going on today as "Lenny" continues to take deposits from unsuspecting players. Months ago, the estimated stiffamount was $2.5 million. By today, that figure is close to $10 million, roughly what Charlie Therwanger ran with.Bet Cascade is the biggest scam in sportsbook history.If you know the real name of the deadbeat scammer ("Lenny") and are concealing it, fine. If you know the real name of the deadbeat scammer, are concealing the name, AND actively trying to prevent gamblers from telling each other the scammer's real name then YOU too are a stinking scammer.Bet Cascade is the biggest scam in sportsbook history.

Obviously. It has to be that way. If you start allowing real names to be posted without permission, it opens things up to all kinds of agenda-driven nonsense.

As for the rest, I don't know. I worked for SBR for awhile and found Bill to be a great guy who always tried to do the right thing. Every day people tried to take advantage of him with scammy lies - I couldn't blame him for becoming hopelessly cynical - but as far as I can see, he has kept trying to do what's right.

I'm not saying everything is lily-white over there. Cascade did reach an A- rating and then we know what happened. That can't be overlooked. Maybe that A- was based on more than just unbiased research. I could point out that SBR has by far the best record in terms of standards for advertisers and not sending players to crap books. If you want to start pointing fingers at who has done the most disservice to players, I would say SBR should be the last target.

But scrutiny is fair.

However criticism because they don't allow real names to be posted on the forum is off-base.
