Munchkin Man
EOG Dedicated
Merry Christmas Everybody!
The Munchkin Man would like to celebrate your Christmas Day with yet another wrestling thread.
For those of you who are tired of the wrestling threads, and the Munchkin Man can sense that some of you are, this will be the last wrestling thread the Munchkin Man starts.
This is the Munchkin Man's promise.
The purpose of this thread is to invite you to pose your very own wrestling trivia questions for your fellow fans.
The Munchkin Man recognizes the fact that many of the wrestling fans on this board probably grew up in the "territorial era" of professional wrestling.
Therefore, the Munchkin Man accepts the fact that you cannot be expected to be an expert on the many groups of the wrestlers who operated in the many regions and territories that once existed.
For example, the Munchkin Man grew up in the Mid-Atlantic territory of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and the WCW. Back in the 1960s, this territory was usually referred to as "The Carolinas."
The Munchkin Man knows more about this area than any of the others, primarily because the Munchkin Man watched its regional weekly television wrestling program religiously every Saturday. The Munchkin Man grew up with it.
On occasion, the Munchkin Man would catch a rare episode of a WWWF television show, or a Mid-South show, or a show from some other wrestling organization or territory, from another television channel.
Later on, after the WWWF became the WWF, the Munchkin Man got to see more of their shows on television, due to their increased national media exposure.
The wrestling federation the Munchkin Man knows the least about was the American Wrestling Alliance (AWA). That was the one with Verne Gagne.
What little the Munchkin Man learned about this federation and other unfamiliar territories was gleaned from the many hours the Munchkin Man used spend reading wrestling magazines, which used to provide a lot of coverage.
If you know the answer to any of these trivia questions without doing a Google search, please feel free to say so.
If you have to go a Google search to find the answer to any of these questions, please feel free to say so as well.
After all, the Munchkin Man wants this to be a learning experience.
Without further ado, the Munchkin Man would like to present his first batch of wrestling trivia questions.
The Munchkin Man made an effort to cover a variety of different eras, territories, and federations.
