The fact that he even mentioned being out for the rest of the season makes us nervous, but we'll have to see what the prognosis is after the MRI. In any case, it sounds like he should be benched immediately. Martell Webster and Travis Outlaw will see a boost in minutes for the near future.

Tony Parker - G - Spurs

Tony Parker says he is completely over his ankle injury that cost him nine games recently, although his conditioning is still an issue.
"I've just got to try to get back in shape, get my wind back, my legs back," Parker said. The good news is that he's healthy and is going to be playing. Feb. 25 - 12:51 p.m. ET

Travis Outlaw (SF) and Martell Webster (SG) will probably start, with Jarrett Jack being sent back to the bench. As has been the case over the past few weeks, McMillan cannot seem to make up his mind about Webster and Jack, but Outlaw is now a must-play in most leagues this week. Just keep in mind that McMillan has been known to change his mind. The news on Roy is fantastic, and it sounds like he could possibly play as early as Friday, at home against the Lakers.

"[Brand] was so excited to be on the court," Dunleavy said after Brand began full-contact practices on Tuesday. "You can't lose reality, though. It would make no sense to throw him out there when he's not in absolutely great shape because then he might injure something else. It just doesn't make sense." We've been preaching caution about EB all season, and owners' patience is being sorely tested right now. Hopefully he'll be ready to roll during fantasy playoffs, but don't pin your championship hopes on a rusty Elton Brand.

He has been sidelined by a sore knee since early February.
"He still has pain in his knee, and I have no timetable whatsoever, nor does he, on when he'll be back," Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. Tinsley injured the knee on December 15th but continued to play, a decision that likely aggravated the injury. It sounds increasingly like Travis Diener will be the Pacers starting point guard for the rest of the season.

He might be a bit tentative at first, but owners have to be pleased that he's nearing a return after such a vicious-looking injury.

How long will he be out? "Shoot, when I'm pain-free," he said. "I think it's too early (to pinpoint a return date). I'm still waiting for it to start progressing. It's the same old." The initial predicted three-game absence doesn't appear to be feasible and as of today, it sounds like he won't be usable in weekly leagues for the upcoming scoring period. Keep him benched until we get some good news out of Toronto. And consider grabbing Rasho Nesterovic or Jamario Moon, who are playing pretty well in his absence.

That means he's not going to be of much help to fantasy owners, and is also good news for Pau Gasol's value the rest of the way. It appears that Bynum can be dropped in most leagues.

The shutdown may have already started based on Wade's quote Friday, a day after he said he'll play out the season. ''It's been pretty bad lately [and] I'm just trying to be cautious,'' he said. ``It's one of those seasons when everybody's looking for a way out, hoping for the season to end. It's like a nightmare, let's just end this season.'' Whether he plays or not again this season, Marcus Banks and Ricky Davis should be picked up in all leagues, just in case.
