good afternoon, went to my mailbox today and little to my suprise, got a letter from oddsmaker.com and saw a page on you. and i thought to myself... man i know that guy !!! well not really because i did not go to the las vegas bash last year. maybe in 2008 !! i will not go into my dealing with sportsbook.com last year, but i am looking for a good off-shore book to make some bets with and was wondering, how the payouts were with oddsmaker ?
meaning how fast do ya get the monnies after you do a with-draw ?? my wife & i only live 240 miles from vegas and we go about 5 times a year. but it's the ncaa's coming up soon i i was wondering about this "oddsmaker" is it worth the risk ?? will i get the money !! and with-in what time frame ??

I will "guarantee" them for up to 5k per account if you should fund with them...:cheers

We recently tested them with some deposits and withdrawals...

And I'd love to hear from others as well...

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

ODDSMAKER HAS HONORED EVERY WORD TO ME FROM THEIR INITIAL PRESENCE ON EOG.

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

I cannot tell a lie. I had major troubles getting my account funded. I am a 10+ year vet at funding offshore accounts and I have never had such a headache getting my money offshore. On top of that, I was going to make a 4 figure deposit and they refused to pick up the Moneygram fees. (Are you kidding me?)

Their website was not difficult to navigate but you have to transfer your money into a seperate sportsbook "sub-account" after depositing the money.(????)

Their deposit bonus criteria was very stringent.

I will not re-up with this outfit. Not out of fear that I wont get paid but if it is that hard to get my money IN, how hard will it be to get my money out?

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

I had a little trouble funding: My credit card would not go through but most books have the same problem. However, my debit card did go through.
That made it very easy.

I have not asked for a withdrawel yet but I may soon.

I think it is an ok book. There are better ones out there but this may be one out to try.
Keep in mind that Ken has personally guaranteed your deposit up to 5k.
That should be enough to sign up.

I have found they shade the line just a little to the favorites side most the time. I have no problem with that. When I like a dog I go there first to compare lines.

As I said earlier, Ken guarantees your money up to 5k.
Now, OSU brought up a good point too.
If they won't pick up your fees they should absolutely change that policy.

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

I KNOW SOME BOOKS PICK UP FEES.......BUT I WOULDN'T....

YOU WANT A BONUS, YOU WANT THE BOOK TO PICK UP FEES, YOU WANT THE BOOK TO PAY THE FED EX TO SHIP YOU A CHECK, YOU WANT REDUCED JUICE..............AND THEN YOU CRY LIKE BABIES WHEN AN IDIOT BOOK THAT DOES ALL THAT GOES OUT OF BUSINESS WITH YOUR MONEY.....

GEEZ, I WONDER WHY??

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

I have Oddsmaker as one of my outs for almost a year now. It's certainly not among the "top tier" sportsbooks, but it's a good average out to have. Sometimes the lines there can be different by a half point from other outs - even on halftime lines. Be sure to sign up with the "EOG100" code and they will give you some bonus funds.

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

The Devil, you make very good points considering the market these days (that is, since the UIGEA took at shit--FU Bill Frist, you "C"-word, you!-lol.

But don't blame the players for expecting certain things, The Devil, because that is marketplace we live in.

And the marketplace used to be a thriving and powerful fire, but since the UIGEA, some amount of water has dampened the party!

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

It'd be a good idea for THE SHRINK to detail the circumstances of this blanket guarantee.

AMSTERDAM.......AS A FORMER OWNER, I SAY THIS.....

BOOKS CAN NOT GIVE AWAY ALL THIS FREE STUFF, PAY THEIR EXPENSES, ADVERTISE TO GET CUSTOMERS ETC AND SURVIVE WITHOUT GAMBLING.......

MOST OF WHAT I HAVE SAID ABOVE IS WHY YOU HAVE HAD SO MANY BOOK FAILURES OVER THE LAST 5-7 YEARS.......

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

The Devil, would you be willing to say that so many book failures over the last five to seven years mostly were not to excessive player demands. but rather just bad booking and/or bad business models?

Surely you can not blame books going under before 2006 on the players! The players were lining up in droves and handing money over to every offshore bookmaker hand over fist.

The market was a huge and growing blaze, growing stronger all the time before the UIGEA.

I think many bookmakers you are referring to were just attempting to take advantage of the humongous market surge but did not have the business sense to survive without constant inflowing deposits.

Please don't take offense, but please enlighten me as to why I ought to feel the plight of the bookmakers at that time, and now?

Re: Calling out the "Shrink" and others !!

An hour goes by and THE DEVIL posts about his favorite quarterbacks but ignores this one.

What did you go offline, devil man? Come on now!

SORRY WAS WATCHING RANGERS/ISLANDERS....

AMSTERDAM.......

PEOPLE/PLAYERS HAVE THIS WARPED IDEA THAT BOOKMAKERS NEVER LOSE.......SURE THE UIGEA HAS HURT........BUT BEFORE THAT, THE EXPENSES WERE THERE....

THE BIG BOOKS HAVE THE VOLUME TO HELP OVERCOME MOST OF THE EXPENSES.......THE SMALL BOOKS DON'T.....

I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO FEEL SORRY FOR THE BM.......BUT BOOKMAKING IS NOT LIKE OWNING A CANDY STORE......WHERE YOU BUY SOMETHING FOR 50 CENTS AND SELL IT FOR A DOLLAR.....

I BELIEVE JC ONCE POSTED IT COSTS $228 IN ADVERTISING TO GET A NEW CUSTOMER.........THROW IN A 10-15-20 % SIGN UP BONUS......PAY HIS WU FEES...HAVE THE GUY OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH $200 LOSE IT AND NEVER COME BACK....HELL OF A PROFIT MARGIN............

And don't forget the new Increased costs of Moving Money and Processing fees since the Gaming Act...It is outrageous for some of these shops and lots higher than it was for everyone...
