Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Call me crazy, or what ever you want, but I still believe in the madness.

PHI > BUF, 10k/16k

God help us if PHI doesn't win soon.

hey pman how r u looking on the season so far at this point? i've lost track with your recent posts

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Only one play for today. It is on the game in which the line has moved 20 since opening. Because of the severity of the current mini-slump it has the potential to shut down the season if the wager does not win it will be the first losing season in a long time. If it wins, get to live and fight another day. The wager will be listed shortly before the first puck drops.

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

605pm, DET > BUF, played to win 500 units

BOL to all on the Wings this evening. Wagers made much earlier than "now" at the various outlets.

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Looks like been given the opportunity to fight yet another day as DET downed BUF.

Here's the record following the game: 276-293-4, -$20,279.

Still down cash wise, but there's still enough time to turn a nice profit. Have faith, good things will follow.

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Time for some more action.

735pm, play on DET to win 150 units
735pm, play on DET over 3 to win 100 units.

BOL to any that follow.

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Wings won last night and their over also cashed.

Heading into any action for tonight: 278-293-4, +$4,721.

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

something wrong with the numbers anyway

Stop the hating! You sound like the next great "sliced bread" who fell off the turnip truck. FYI, larger wagers are spread out across the books. Tuck your tail and go away. It's real simple, keep the thread positive - you got something to say that's not positive, start a separate thread as this is how it's done in this thread. Good day, sir!

Re: Pac Man's 2007-2008 NHL Thread

Season to date record is: 283-294-4, +$58,676.

There will be three (3) games with action Sunday. If they all win, the season will be complete. When it's all said and done, a minimum profit of $60,000 will have been earned. As previously stated, hockey is second best of the four major sports money maker.

pacman, i am not a hockey follower or a fan for that matter. How is hockey such a large earner? What do you look for when you bet on hockey? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

FrankieGotti,

Like all the other venues wagered upon, use a formula/system that has checks and balances. A few of the items to look for when wagering hockey, to me, include the following: average shots on goal per game, penalty killing ability, power play opportunity ability, home/road record overall and verses 'that' team, new players or coaches, injuries, days between games, the goalie (save percentage, w/l record home/away verses 'that' team). There are other stats used but won't list them all. In addition, each spec (filter) has a certain weight in the formula. Hope this helps.

pac man,

thank you very much. I am going to start with hockey next season i think. Do you read any prep magazines prior to the season like phil steele has a college football magazine or anything of that sort? Thanks in advance.

FrankieGotti,

You're welcome. In terms of off-season, keep track of player/team moves (trades/lingering injury/coaching situation/draft prospects for the following season/etc). If you venture with the NHL next season, just remember it's not a sprint (have enough for the entire season) and pick a method that will work for you. Hope this will aid to your wallet next season.
