The Model 82A1/M107 series rifle is a rugged, dependable semi-automatic rifle. In simple terms, it has earned unmatched respect because it works in battlefield conditions. Our military men and women have depended on over 5,000 Model 82A1/M107 rifles to protect themselves and to protect our freedoms.
Unlike other semi-automatic .50 BMG's, the Model 82A1/M107 is completely reliable. Its chamber is chrome plated and dimensioned for both civilian and military ammunition. The extractor and ejector are proven to work under any condition. Close tolerances on all parts and intelligent design allows it to function in all environments. The trigger is appropriate for a battle rifle.
The improved muzzle brake, along with dual barrel springs and a long mainspring design make the Model 82A1/M107 comfortable and fun to shoot. Rapid, accurate fire from its ten round magazine is a breeze.
The Model 82A1/M107 fits in a regular sized carry case. It is transported disassembled as an upper and lower receiver. The rifle is assembled and ready to fire in under a minute by inserting 2 assembly pins through both receivers. Since the scope remains mounted on the upper receiver, the scope zero is maintained. The Model 82A1/M107's M1913 optics rail is elevated 27 MOA to take full advantage of a scope's elevation travel. Emergency iron sights are provided as well.
For over 2 decades, the short-recoil, semi-automatic Model 82A1/M107 series has been refined and improved. There are no competitors.
The Model 82A1/M107 is what you expect in a Barrett. Dependable. Reliable. Well-designed.

Very nasty, especially long range sniper, but someone gets close, that semi auto comes in handy. Bullet will rip through most walls. $7 a piece. Have targeted over 1 1/2 miles with scope, Bors Leopold would be an option. Kills with extreme prejudice, 660 grain bullets, hit the torso, goodbye. Target drops seconds before shot heard. Wicked sounding also, when you are firing. Army voted top 10 inventions back in 05. Not made for deer hunting, the troops love these guns. Like a BAR on steroids. I think a 1000 yard shot with proper technique not difficult. Sweet breakdown, scope stays mounted and zeroed. You get someone with general's gun, and someone with my gun 50 yards apart firing from hip, I'll take mine. 100 yards out, I win everytime. I think best there is, maybe best ever made.

Best wishes...OF :cheers

BORS is an integrated electronic ballistic computer that mounts directly on your riflescope and couples to the elevation knob. Just turn the elevation knob until the LCD displays the target?s range. The BORS? three internal sensors will have automatically calculated your ballistic solution. It compensates for aiming up or down, temperature, and barometric pressure changes. It even tells you if the rifle is canted. Place the crosshair on the target and fire with first-round confidence. Currently, BORS is dimensioned for and compatible with non-illuminated Leupold Mark IV tactical scopes in 3.5-10, 4.5-14, 6.5-20 and 8.5-25 powers. BORS is available either by itself or factory installed on the 4.5-14 power Leupold. BORS comes preloaded with most popular cartridges. The BORS kit includes the Barrett Ballistic PC Software and the BORS data cable that allows the user to program custom loads on their PC or laptop and transfer them directly to their BORS. </SPAN>
BORS?. It adds science to the rifleman?s skill.

Add this scope for fun at extreme range. Going to invest over 10G's, but no one will have one better. Penile envy solved for a price. Mine's way bigger.

Re: Check this out. Pretty kewl gun.

Sorry, artillery does not count. Hard to put it in a suitcase and bring it with you to your hotel room, even harder to operate by yourself. I'll stick with the M107. Makes the lone assassin a true lethal weapon.
