Re: Some observations and facts about the Rx from the outside looking back in.
One thing that has been proven over the years is one site bad mouthing another site does not leave any marks. The few sites that have collapsed like bettorsworld did so from within.
Therx is still a great site. The mgmt gambled their investment money on a pay odds service instead of user enhancements. Turned out to be a lucky break for sites like EOG. If therx would have poured those same resources into enhancing their strength which is their forums, there may just be dirty, shrink, pete, jman, frog, osu and hache here talking. But, you take gambles in business and not all of them work out as planned. Maybe their next shot down the field will work out better.
This is a very accurate opinion, IMO. The Rx made some bad choices over the past two years, no question about it ...they have horrible management now, just horrible...there's no creativity or vision, combine that with a poor economy both in the industry and around the U.S. and now they are stuck with a losing business model.
The real owner has lost touch , and this is what happens when non forum people try and come in and take over. Marty and Rick are not forum people, they will never have what it takes to make a forum work, it just isn't their thing.
It's a shame Roy thought the Rx was a turn key operation and let those poor leaders lead. It takes years and hard work to build a forum, Rick and Marty don't have a following, you can't just pop in from time to time and say I'm Marty Jenson and you're not and expect people to be overjoyed, The Shrink is the prime example of how IT SHOULD BE, HANDS ON!
I could go on and on about how and why Rick dropped the ball, lazy, never around and a liar are three good reasons....and Marty is a never was in forumville, just some lucky fuck who Roy handpicked to be his front man....I think the last time Marty actually posted he made a guarantee that went bad and he was done, rightfully so...Stick to online casino theft Marty,Marty is nopt the guy making those Marty Jenson plays either.... With those two stuffy, no talent dingbats leading the way this was inevitable, throw in Wilheim who does not relate well to the 20 and 30 somethings and you have a ship that is sitting at a dry dock.
Above-The Rx has become a money pit, with an awful management team , and their hands off owner nowhere around, the site no longer has any direction.
Above-from 2005
Back in the day the site sailed like very few of its kind, with a hands on owner (The Shrink) skippering the mighty ship and letting his people do what they did best.
