Many books were on affiliate deals, many were also losing money to the posters which in turn meant the Rx wasn't even profiting from them. Not all books were affiliate books, BetJamaica was an affiliate book, but also remember some are higher % wise than others, I do remember RickA wanting the mods to 'push' the lessor books over a BetJamaica to the posters for obvious reasons....

At one point in time he was ordering the mods to put the affiliate link in each post they made about a given book so when the link was clicked they got the kickback....if you looked at posts about a year ago you would see a lot of that going on.

Not true, some books (such as BOS) paid up front for their high ranking.... i.e. Silver , Platinum or whatever they called them.

Because some did not have those deals.
BetCRIS is in the injury/line service business themselves, Grande, CRIS and some other big name books don't want to be a part of the Rx Odds because they are doing it themselves.

I don't know, hence I ask.

My theory is BM was paying a monthly fee, and pulled out because they are non-competitive in baseball lines, but I could be wrong.

Either way, not good for RX, so J is happy !

I'm not taking either side in this.

This has nothing to do with uncompetitive bases lines. Why would the entire CRIS group of books pull the plug at the RX? I don't post there or I would ask. It has nothing to do with RXodds either.

PO69- When I used Sportsoptions the lines weren't updating as fast as the other services. I had no use for it. Have you compared it to another line service?

When McIrish asked me to be on the board room at the RX, I said, "no". I never "tried out" anywhere. I just like to be a power poster at times and have done it at the RX, EOG, SBR, OGD and my old site TFZ. I'd guess that I'll be a power poster again some time in the future here at EOG when I get bored.

As Dime mentioned he was the one that asked me to start a site and I said,"yes". I'm not looking for fame or fortune from these sites even when I ran my old site. The World According to JMan is a funny place.

They are here (as Bookmaker). Not much sense in advertising CRIS on a site mainly for Americans that can't play there.

They aren't Mickey Mouse, but I'll firmly agree they are SHIT. They are safe, but there lines are awful for baseball, and they are greedy.

My main beef with them is that you can't transfer out of there without a HUGE fee.

BM/CRIS are only good for a very few things:

getting down a very large bet, like over 10K.... few need that ability

betting as soon as the line comes out

beyond that, they are not needed. I wouldn't care if they disappeared.

I hate this too. Minimum of $200 out. I still think they are needed for openers.

Lines services have a very limited market. American viewpoint, since that is the major market.

There are free ones that seem pretty good.

Nobody wants to pay.

You can't move money w/o Neteller

since you can't move money, those players that remain are at fewer books, and don't need a line service.

ironically people win the service, and give it away, which is exactly what I'd do.

personally I don't need a service. I figure out what I want to bet, check the Pinny line, then 5D, then bet it at Matchbook ( usually).

I certainly wouldn't want a line service that didn't show Pinny and Bookmaker lines.

I find no need for any more books than Matchbook and 5D presently. I used to keep over 10 funded.

Low vig, and ability to transfer free between books are most important now.

Even with full vig, this means there are less than 10 books in existance.

I could see having a minimal amount there for NFL, but only if openers are a big part of your game.

I'd pick Greek over them, unless CRIS opens a lot earlier most times.

Yeah it's called in 'direct competition' with each other....like I said earlier, BetCris doesn't want to be affiliated with another line service when they are in the same business.
