They still make them, they look like Madden cruisers now!
Come to Florida during the winter. They, and yankees (snowbirds), are all over the place.
They look more like this these days and sell for the moon!
I think you'll see that decrease.
NY to Fla ( 1,000 miles) at 6 mpg= 166 gallons of gas
166 gallons at $4= $666
I think these will go the way of the Concorde jet.
"It's a trade off most of them will gladly make."
Well, there is more of a trade-off than that.
You are now living in a Winnebago.
Doug,
Snowbirds come down at the beginning of winter and they do not leave until around now. One trip down and one trip back. While down, they use their personal vehicle to get around. The only cost they really incur while here is the rental at the RV camp and what utilities they might have to pay. Since they are down here, they don't have to pay the heating and other utilities they would incur while remaining in the great white north. It's a trade off most of them will gladly make.
Yes, I can see that, but I wouldn't want to be involved in any way dependent on motor arks as my future....
sales
providing spaces
etc.
I never see one anymore, except parked in someone's driveway.
They can't be fun to drive.
good combo:
80 year olds driving rigs ! :LMAO
