I bougt 2 in the last year, a 42" Sanyo and a 37" Vizio.

I'm satisfied with the Sanyo and I love the Vizio. I've yet to hear anything negative about the Phillips brands. However, given the choice I would actually prefer one of the overpriced Sonys.

I have a 42' Vizio. Absolutely love it. Customer service is great too. We had some problems with it within the first few days (son hit it with a ball resulting in lines across the screen) and after some creative explaining the CS through Vizio had me take it back to the store to get a new one :D

if you are going lcd go samsung, sony, or panasonic...those are the best ones IMO...i bought a 46" samsung lcd last summer which was under 2k...im sure you could find one out there

I have a Sharp, but hear that the Samsungs are better now.
