This is the thread to give your feedback...

Re: Heading into the 2008 Football Season, Name your 5 Top Sports Books and Why?

I think it's pretty worthless to ask this right now, because things do change at the drop of a dime in this industry (pun), but-

For football

1) Greek
2) Matchbook
3) 5Dimes
4) Bookmaker
5) Youwager

I'll explain my reasoning for #5.

They have incredible reload bonuses all the time, 4.5 rollover, they are very fast with payouts, checks in a couple of days. Drawback to this book is they coldcall excessively, they belong to the First Fidelity family.

I was going to throw in WSEX, but their recent payout delays and processing issues caused me to go with a book that may be less well known, but is financially secure and has great promotions as I said.

top five are 1 greek, 2 five dimes,3 bet jamaica,4bodog .sorry their is no number 5 for me..i love the greek, because they have prop bets, team totals, with the exception of arena football, lots of futures.i love canadian football props.five dimes has low juice on most games, team totals on afl, plus they have all kinds of propbets.bet jam is a simple book but they are honest, and they will pay you in timely manner, that to me is the most important thing. bodog because of all their player props, they have better lines with under dogs.plus i love their site, they can hook you up with the scores.i kinda wiish i could use western union to send to them, but they told me they had been flaged, and they didnt knowwhen they were able to use western union again.

Re: Heading into the 2008 Football Season, Name your 5 Top Sports Books and Why?

For football, these would be my top 5. No particular order really - depends on what means most to you.

Greek: Early lines, halftime lines up fast, totals on any college football game, team totals, props, etc. Buy on and off the 3 for 20 cents if you are into it.

BetJamaica: Reduced -105 juice on Friday nights during football. Good contests during the season also.

ThePIG: Reduced -108 juice on everything and some of the best service out there - including live chat.

Matchbook: Set your own odds and take offers at generally much lower juice than a standard book.

5Dimes: One stop shopping for anything you can imagine, reduced -105 juice up to certain limits.

BTJ,

You are getting more psychotic each day. Has your Haldol been refilled recently?

I don't believe asking posters for a top 5 is ever worthless since some actually come here for information, not gossip...

Re: Heading into the 2008 Football Season, Name your 5 Top Sports Books and Why?

My top 5 or 10 list has changed drastically since some sports books after reacted better to the post UIGEA environment than others...

It might also be helpful for some of you to list the sports books who have adjusted well and perhaps to list those who haven't...

For starters, I believe that Matchbook and Bet Jamaica's stock have risen from what players tell me along with my own personal experience...

However, Bodog (even though a sponsor here) has struggled getting people paid out in time...

I wonder how many other gambling portals will be this honest and objective with their posters regarding advertisers? :+clueless

Caribsports.com- Fast payouts and good lines. Very easy to buy a half point.

Bodog- Good public lines to bet against if you're a dog bettor.

BETPOP- Best parlay and teaser odds on the net.

Bet Jamaica- Good customer service. Fair lines

5 Dimes- I like the way they display different lines at different prices.

I also use SIA sometimes when their lines are right.

5dimes and bet Jamaica anything else ill pass over, ive had long issues with others from disputes to payoff delays but with 5 dimes i find myself getting angry my payout wasn't there in 2 days vs 4 days . and with any other sports book its 3 weeks vs 10 weeks.

Bet Jam
5 Dimes
Bodog

BJ has the early lines, reduced fridays as previously mentioned. BJ also has the better payout options and quality customer service but Bodog has a far more superior website/layout than any online book I've seen. Why the hell does BJ take down the lines after the game has started and why do they not have a scoreboard on thier site? Additionally I like the 'live' betting offered by bodog.

Re: Heading into the 2008 Football Season, Name your 5 Top Sports Books and Why?

BET-JAM-only one I trust-Scott is great there. The fastest payouts, bar none.My only complaint is they already took down their AL and NL league pennant odds 2 days ago. That was a terrible move-races are heating up,and interest is high.
