1990 NFLX Japan Bowl

Denver -1.5 over Seattle

Broncos won 10-7 thanks to one of the all-time WORST calls ever made in the NFL - one i was VERY happy they made....Seat scored w/under 2 minutes to make it 10-7 and then recovered the onside kick. on 4th down they completed a pass about a yard or so PAST the First Down line/marker but on the play the WR came back for the ball, caught it about a yard past the sticks but his momentum carried him out of bounds about a foot on the OTHER side of the FD line and the ball was marked THERE and not where it shoulda been for a FD. Seattle SHOULD have had a FD and if so they either tie the game and send it to OT or win it 14-10

i was ecstatic since i made a HUGE bet and was not working at the time. had i lost this play i have no clue what i woulda done $$$ wise

Several years ago I had 43K on a MLB game.

Will never forget it. I had the Pittsburgh Pirates as a very small favorite and they won rather easily.

Obviously bet them at mutiple hotels on the strip.

Those were the days!

NBA Portland -17 1/2 over Golden State back in 1988. I had $28,000+ on the game in Vegas. Had money in about every book on this game. I had a rental car and was driving around trying to get a signal on the radio with 4 minutes left it was a 2 point game. I went into the Stardust and gave up and playde blackjack for a few hours, when leaving I walked through the sportsbook and saw on the ticker Portland won by 18. I knew it was wrong and starting asking people if they knew the real score. Nobody had a clue until I got to this old man who explained GS didn't score a point in the last 4 minutes and Portland made 16 free throws. I still had to check when I went to the first book the next morning and indeed they cashed!

I flew back to Vegas 2 weeks later because of that win and left the majority of the $28,000 there next trip.

NFL for me - Has the biggest limits when you want to seriously unload.

Election bets the biggest I have ever made. Biggest winner on a non future was Dumb and Dumberer to go under at the box office though. The risk much smaller though. Best bet anyone has probably ever made.

NFL and NCAAF

I bet big on a football game when I really like it. Usually only one per season tho. I have never placed a wager as big as some mentioned here tho.

I remember a Sun or Mon night game last yr, Indy vs. Balt. I think the total was 41 or something close. I placed a big wager on the over and went to sleep at halftime, already having a winner. That doesn't happen often.
