See, this is a serious problem for this girl. Sometimes kids this young don't understand that there could be grave consequences when carelessness is involved and exhibited. Precaution and safety should have been a primary concern here and both of these kids should be taught that. They put both of themselves in a very precarious and dangerous situation. There would be no turning back from the possible repurcussions. "I didn't know" should not be an accepted excuse here and schools and parents, alike, should should take a bigger role in educating children about basics of everyday life.

At 12 years old you should have enough authority over what he does to stop it for a while. even if he does anyway, at least make it be known that you don't want him having sex. 12 is way too young to handle it in so many different ways. either way, good luck with the situation. I personally would have sought advice from my wife because she is likely to think more rationally.

Kids this young should not being having sex....kinda sad, does any boy play baseball on a summer day on the sandlot anymore? I see empty ballfields all over, not a kid anywhere, all stay indoors and play with their electronics,they can't wait to grow up because everything is given to them and in abundance, they end up bored, turned to sex and drugs barely teenagers ....sad times.

It is simply my opinion that the responsible thing to do would be to let her parents know that their 13-year-old (what's that 7th, 8th grade?) daughter is sexually active. They should have the option of talking to her about the same things you want to impart to your son.

This is a very tough situation for you. Do you tell the wife? I would, but that is knowing how my fiance is. It totally depends on how she would react. Plus, this is easy for me to comment on because I don't have any kids.
I wouldn't be so sure she was really on the pill either. I think the best thing to do is talk to your son and tell him you are not mad at all, but concerned. Explain how much different his life would be with a child! Tell him about some std's that he hasn't heard of before. Not really to scare him out of having sex, but because if he is having sex then he NEEDS to know alot more about it than I assume he does.
Try not to ask him questions that will make him feel like he needs to lie. This is probably the first "adult" talk ya'll have ever had. If he understands your concerns and knows you are not mad then he should not try to hide things from you in the future.
