Re: The AP top 5

Is that based on beating the rainbow's, or on last year's performance against Mich?

Hmmmm....Youngstown st. and Chattanooga. Yes, Ohio st. and Oklahoma played better competition.:LMAO

Ohio st. will get floored by USC, so they'll be out of there soon anyway.

Just wanted to understand. What was FLA big win last year? LSU? no, AUb? no, Ga? no, Mich? no. Yes, I found it they beat an 8-5 Kent. team. Based on that resume I can see why they should be a top 3 team.12io4j2w90

So you are saying a teams ranking should be contingent on what they did last year?:+clueless LSU won the national so I guess by your words, they should be ranked #1.

that argument doesn't make a whole lot of sense. they smashed the sec east champs and every year is different. ou lost to col last year, who was awful, and they got obliterated in their bowl game. they dont recruit as well as florida does either; so fla has better talent coming in.

Panic,

What I am saying is other then MEDIA Hype FLA has proven nothing in the last 12 months. Beat someone before anyone should give them that high of ranking, thats all. I am kind of a closet FLA fan, but I get sick of reading about how good they are on paper, but not on the field. I still think they have problems on defense.

jwunder- I am a Notre Dame fan. I dont like the Gators as much as the next guy, but this team is loaded. Anytime you get the heisman winner to return, and he's only a sophmore, and a quarterback, you're in great shape. Couple that with the loads of talent they have and they are gonna be tough to beat. I bet them as my National champion future. There defense is the weakest link, you are correct, but that offense is gonna over come that. We'll see Nov. 1st what they're made of.
