Grand Sierra Resort; it's a couple miles east of downtown but has a superb race book. Downtown, I stay at Harrah's.

I even have a matchbook, actually a bunch from there with Conforte's name still on it. Those chicks are rags. I don't like tweekers. Better off going to Carson City. Be prepared for Ho sticker shock for white meat at BR #1. Dark meat at BR #2 a better value.

PEPPERMILL SPORTSBOOK is good,near the airport,also a new Tower just went up. If your looking for best wagering lines and options, the Cal Neva downtown. That place is a zoo !!!

I stay at the Sands Regency in Reno. Smaller atmosphere than Las Vegas but I prefer Reno. Plenty to do - Plenty to eat. Several nice sportsbooks just a couple of blocks away. Cal-Neva is a good place. Actually, I would go to Tunica, Mississippi before Las Vegas. Depends if you are filthy rich or not and can stand the arrogance of the Las Vegas Strip.

I usually gamble at the Club Cal Neva. Good sports and race book there. I belong to their cash club and get rooms at a reasonable rate....I also like the buffet at the El Dorado.
