Munchkin Man
EOG Dedicated
Greetings:
The Munchkin Man may have finally found an alternative to his blood pressure medications.
Farting.
Or being around people who fart a lot.
Read all about it here:
http://www.livescience.com/health/081023-farts-blood-pressure.html
The Munchkin Man has cut and pasted the first three paragraphs:
__________
A smelly rotten-egg gas in farts controls blood pressure in mice, a new study finds.
The unpleasant aroma of the gas, called hydrogen sulfide (H2S), can be a little too familiar, as it is expelled by bacteria living in the human colon and eventually makes its way, well, out.
The new research found that cells lining mice?s blood vessels naturally make the gas and this action can help keep the rodents? blood pressure low by relaxing the blood vessels to prevent hypertension (high blood pressure). This gas is ?no doubt? produced in cells lining human blood vessels too, the researchers said.
__________
If you have high blood pressure, you might consider thanking the next person who farts in your presence.
The Munchkin Man is going to do exactly that.
Best Wishes,
Munchkin Man
P.S. -- Please accept the Munchkin Man's apologies if this has been posted before. If so, the Munchkin Man missed it.
