He was my favorite player growing up next to billy williams, but no, I dont think his stats warrant it.

did he dominate his position in the era he played in?

no.

if jim rice had to wait 15 yrs to get in, then ron santo does not deserve to get in.

ron santo was a nice player, but not a hall of famer

Like I said, he was very good and I liked him alot. 277 avg, never the best player at his position, just cant say let him in.
By the way, playing with diabetis gets him nothing, you cant let sympathy get involved - sorry.
