Citing a "very well-connected league source," Lance Zierlein of the Houston Chronicle reports that Albert Haynesworth will sign with the Redskins at the start of free agency unless the Titans swoop in late.
Zierlein, the son of Steelers OL coach Larry Zierlein, has a blog at Chron.com and does a radio show. His source says Haynesworth will get a deal totaling roughly $100 million that pays $15-16 million annually. Zierlein doesn't usually report and it's hard to see how the Skins will fit him under the salary cap, but this is the kind of megadeal Haynesworth is seeking. Feb. 24 - 1:44 pm et

none the less, the skins are better than every team in the central already. Now we add the best defensive player in the league.

If the bears had any sort of cents they would simply sign jeff garcia and go to the playoffs, but they'll keep orton instead.

Never said he was a System DT, but all teams have a philosophy. Not sure Washington's is the same as Tennessee's. Really why F/A doesn't work very well.


Bears don't need a QB, just three competent WR's.

Its amazing that when u sign a player like this how much better ur cornerbacks and safty becomes. If they are mediocre they become good. If they are good they become great. Its the Jerrome Brown, Reggie White system. Eagles corners only had to cover for about 2 seconds. They went to the pro bowl and got torched.

Hester is HORRIBLE. Only the Bears screw themselves by weakening two positions. They promised him the number one WR spot, even though he had no experience. Hester holds out for big money. Bears weaken the biggest advantage they had by taking him off the return teams. Took him over half a year to somewhat get it, but teams still don't gameplan to stop him at WR.

Washington doesn't have the players that New York or Baltimore had either. New York had just as good, if not a better defense, much, MUCH better WR's, and a better OL.

Baltimore had one of the best defenses of all time. Washington might not even have a top 5 defense next year.

Agreed. Hester is a terrible, terrible WR. Great return man, but his return ability takes a hit when he is stupidly put in to play WR.

Baltimore had one of the best defenses of all time. Washington might not even have a top 5 defense next year.

dont be surprised if they do...they were on the outside looking in last year and if lewis and haynesworth do move...the ravens and titans key defensive players will be gone...

In real life Garcia > Orton easy.

TB had one of the worst offenses i've seen this season and actually scored points since garcia is decent.

Hester was open on 100 plays and orton hit him 10 times if he's lucky. Hester is actually good at receiving. I wish he was on philly

Guess you haven't watched many Bears games. It was pretty well known that Hester didn't work much on his receiving in practice. Anyways, what team has worse receivers than Chicago?
