You're darned tootin!

GREAT ... SO HAVING A PRESIDENT REFER TO DEAD AMERICAN SOLDIERS AS "JUST NUMBERS" IS YOUR THING?

GREAT .... SO HAVING A PRESIDENT REFER TO THE CONSTITUTION AS A "GOD DAMNED PIECE OF PAPER IS YOUR THING"?

The validity of some of your allegations are dubious at best.

The Munchkin Man is not going to fall into your trap of responding to isolated instances in which past Republican policies may have fallen short of their traditional core values.

Nor is the Munchkin Man going to fall into your trap of responding to isolated instances in which certain Republicans have stumbled into sin.

Neither political party corners the market when it comes to sin.

The Munchkin Man can dig up tons of dirt on the Democrats too.

But to do so is pointless.

The Munchkin Man refers you to the following Biblical passage:
_____

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
_____

That goes for President Barack Obama.

That goes for former President George W. Bush.

That goes for you.

And yes, that even goes for the Munchkin Man.

Every human being is in the same boat.

Therefore, the Munchkin Man shall return to the core platform values the Munchkin Man believes in, as expressed in his previous post:

A stronger national defense
A vigorous dedication to winning America's War on Terror
A pro-capitalist free market economy
Lower taxes
Less government power instead of more government power
Less government spending instead of more government spending
Less socialism instead of more socialism
Less redistribution of the wealth instead of more redistribution of the wealth
A pro-life anti-abortion agenda
Opposition to gay marriage
Opposition to The Fairness Doctrine or any variation thereof.
Support of increased offshore oil drilling
Support of the promotion of nuclear power as a future energy source
Support for school choice vouchers

Those are the Munchkin Man's beliefs.

The set of beliefs and values listed above is the Munchkin Man's "THING", to borrow your term.

As stated earlier, the Munchkin Man is going to vote for the candidate who the Munchkin Man judges as being the most likely to promote and support the greatest number of the platform items listed above.

The platform items listed above are more compatible with the agenda of the Republican Party than with the agenda of the Democratic Party.

The Munchkin Man votes accordingly.

It's that simple.

If a Republican political leader is caught engaging in an act of sin, that is very unfortunate.

However, it does not change any of the Munchkin Man's core platform agenda beliefs listed above.

Best Wishes,

Munchkin Man

What a missed opportunity for capitalism and freedom. Bobby Jindal will never be president. Ain?t gonna happen. Nope.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Until we are honest about our weaknesses (and strengths) we will never gain the majority.

Jindal was a train wreck.

Unless, we move along and bring forth the ideas and policies that make the party great, we will be the minority for decades.

We can?t afford to just support someone cuz they?re ?our guy or gal?

It?s time to fight fire with fire.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Was he delivering a major speech to America or reading a children?s bedtime story?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This man does not come across as a leader. If this is the best we can do for a leader, we are in really poor shape. Sarah Palin, given all her ?deficiencies?, comes across as a much stronger leader. Where are the leaders who can understand minorities and women?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Really saddens me to read some of the downright NASTY FR swipes at Jindahl! Guess you prefer the teleprompter reading skills of the kenyan?!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obama ought to try growing up as an untouchable in Calcutta!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like most Americans, I didn?t see or hear the Obama speech or the GOP response, but that was good timing by the Republicans to pick Jindal... Slumdog Millionaire, Mall Cop... Indians are HOT right now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was telling an Indian buddy of mine recently that I notice that a lot of ads have an Indian guy in them for the "coolness" factor. It used to be that ads put blacks in them so that no one would complain that blacks are being ignored. Now Indians are used to cover the "minority spot" and also because they're cool in some odd way understand but can't explaing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jidal?s delivery was embarrassingly awful. He?s definitely not ready for prime time.

now? It sure ain't "Family Morals" as your party suppports abortion......

AHEM!

A blanket statement such as the one above is a perfect example of what has resulted in the destruction of your credibility.

Granted, there are some Republicans who do support abortion.

However, the abortion debate of pro-choice vs. pro-life is a continuoum.

On one extreme, there are those who oppose abortion in any and all circumstances, even when the life of the mother is at risk.

Others will allow for an abortion, if and only if, when the life of the mother is at risk.

Some people base their permission for a given abortion on the period of time the woman has been pregnant.

Some people allow for abortion-on-demand at any stage of pregnancy, including the practice of partial birth abortions.

Then there was one Presidential candidate who took his support for abortion one step further, by advocating the killing of a newborn baby after an abortion attempt has failed.

This is called infanticide.

That Presidential candidate was Barack Hussein Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama has the most extreme pro-abortion philosophy of any President in American history.

On the abortion pro-choice vs. pro-life debate continuoum, more Republicans fall on the pro-life side of this debate continuoum than do the Democrats.

Nice try on the Abortion Issue:

In 1992, when the entire nation expected Roe to be flung on the ash heap of history (by means of Casey versus Planned Parenthood), the Supreme Court shocked the world with a five to four vote upholding Roe.

Three of those five justices were appointed by Presidents Reagan and Bush (the elder)

The majority of the Justices that defended the "constitutional right" of killing the unborn were placed on the Supreme Court by "pro-life" Republican Presidents who said they wanted to overturn Roe. President Reagan appointed Sandra Day O'Connor and Anthony Kennedy; President Bush picked David Souter . These judges have blood on their hands.

When a new Supreme Court Justice is confirmed, that Justice has the free will to vote as they see fit.

Unfortunately, the Supreme Court Justices mentioned above voted on the wrong side of the abortion issue.

But how does any of this justify the morality of your President, Barack Hussein Obama, endorsing and supporting the killing of a newborn baby after a failed abortion attempt, in an act of infanticide?

People, people, it's time you realize that ALL the politicians in Washington are no good. It takes too many favors, too much money and too much compromising of your own principles to get that far. I'd wager that 90% of the Congress is on the take in one form or another. Unpaid taxes, favors to family members, marital infidelity, it's like a legalized Mafia down there. To expect one person to go in there and clean up the cesspool that is our national government is not only misguided, but naive. Couldn't agree with this statment more, but how can anyone get behind that nonsense last night? I echo Sportsgirl's statement that
I want President Obama to succeed, but here's what I keep hearing:

1) We're going to spend $800 billion on stimulus, even though 3/4 of it isn't going to be spent this year and isn't stimulative at all
2) We're going to raise taxes on the anyone making $250K a year or more
3) We're going to cut the deficit in half

Anyone with any understanding of finance at all can see that's nonsense. And then you have idiots like identity saying 88% of the county approves. I don't know if that's true, but if it is it only proves that 90% of Americans are morons. No wonder the Dow drops 300 points every time this guy opens his mouth.

Post of the Year! Every Congressman is worried about one thing... getting reelected. To do that they have to worry about their own little part of the world first and the rest of our country second. These people raise millions of dollars to get elected for a job that pays a fraction of that. How do they do that? By promising to look out for their donors best interest, not our country's best interest. I wish Obama the best but he's got no shot.
