Money management and don't chase...2 things that can bury any gambler when they go on a bad streak like we all do. On to tomorrow.

Take your lumps with tiny money first (before you start wagering large) regardless of the size of your bankroll. You can learn a lot at $11 to win $10 and it won't cost you much for those lessons. Have patience, if you're really good, you can move your $$$ up soon enough.
