Those people get on my nerves more than anything. IMO they are worse than the nuthuggers of popular cappers.

Lurkers pay the bills here too. Posting is not an indication that you actually deposit. I really see nothing wrong with it. Lurkers play a huge part in the money this place brings in.

That's about dead on. It's almost like there is a contest sub-culture amongst posters and they communicate with each other. I think they put out the Bat light or some shit. I've seen many contest whores over the years, and Shantystar is one of the biggest free loaders around.

As an advertiser at EOG, BetFirstClass is interested in gaining the most exposure possible and if that means paying forum lurkers who win a contest, so be it as their funds are as good as anyone's.
To clarify STB, these observations are in no way directed at you.
While this practice may irritate "professional posters", at least the contest whores actually post up after winning a contest prize and I can not say the same about many regular forum posters who participate in a contest having no intention of posting up.

Lurkers probably Post up more than "veteran" posters. Many LURKERS are intimidated from posting because of the shenanigans that go on in forums. They should be welcome and encouraged.

wtf? I have 3X more cash off shore then you do pal....I support virtually every EOG sponsor book...contests help me stay sharp and on the forum boards daily so I can read and contribute to all the good stuff even your posts....its a tool I use to stay sharp and on line...

lol. Sorry to use you as an example. when I think of contests, I think of you. Even still, EOG profits more from an average lurker than from a contest and capping veteran like yourself. I think you know what I was trying to say.

I think that Hines meant the posters that only come to play in free contests and never post up for contests OR add any other content tot he site....
It appears that the words posting and post up have been interchanged here and thereby causing some unintended drama to erupt.
I would be curious to see the number of free contest regulars that post up with the books they play the contests through...

Most contests require a post up so I am not sure what you are getting at. Just because some of these people do not post any content in the forums is no indication that they do not post up.
You are making a big assumption here. Posters might rather see a winner they recognize but do you think the sponsors and/or owner care as long as it is drumming up business?

Since when? Most contests here are not post-up. The BetJam NBA and NASCAR contests are not post up for example. None of the BetPhoenix contests have been post up.
I'd also bet that most of the people I am talking about are not post up players as well.
