I would just keep the contest the same regardless of the save factor. We would still know who the lowest vote count was though anyway. And that might make it real hard to just the double plays if there are 2 players getting knocked out.


I do think that you need to make an exact time next week in the morning. Because Brock's pick was way too late if you ask me. That was pushing it. I hope that the winners will have been active bettors at betphoenix. DONT WIN THE PRIZES AND NOT BE AN ACTIVE CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!

The books that posts odds on who gets elminated each week hopefully covered their bases on the save rule is a person considered elminated for betting purpose when the judges save him how do they grade that? Yes elminated or Push

I have Papelbon ranked #1 on my list of top 10 greatest living Americans. Kady Malloy-Smith #2. I update my power rankings on this every week and I take it seriously.

Josh Beckett ranked #3 currently. I bet him 25-1 to have most pitching wins this year, I bet him 30-1 tonight. Guy has been nearly untouchable this spring, red sox relief pitching has been unhittable. If Beckett takes this down, my rankings will be;

I'm all confused. I could have sworn Matt was better than Megan yet she didn't get kicked to the bottom three. Can anyone tell me if maybe i was watching a different AI than the voters were watching?

Also, i don't actually like the 'save' rule and here's why. Because if the judges can alter the voters voice, than why bother voting? If your vote only counts if the judges agree with you,than it seems to me a waste of time to vote.

We talked about the importance of demographics in regards to voting and I can't hammer over the head enough how vital it is. The total glut of white males had to result in some dilution in voting. If people were voting on Alexis based on looks (who knows why but can't account for taste) then that bloc gravitated to Megan.
Good wake up call for Matt and he will benefit greatly when Scott is gone as well. Then it will be him and Kris showing down to see if they can topple the twosome terror of Adam and Danny. Right now Danny is sucking votes from the pimpled Timberfake. Thus the shocking, to some, bottom three appearance. It makes perfect sense when you step back and look at it logically.
Next week will be a bounce for Matt and whoever gets Michael Sarver's voters.

I actually like AI, but i think when stuff like that happens, it really cheapens the show. Why even bother singing and having the judgetards rate you when its all a bunch of shit and means absolutely nothing.

Posted a few articles about the shadiness of the producer and casting director of the show. They are exploiting everything for the almighty dollars and ratings. It works for a while but the inevitable backlash occurs.

I think the childish behavior from Paula and Simon was really embarrassing. I mean, these kids are up there singing their hearts out in front of millions of people and those two retards are just showing the most incredible disrespect for the human race. The tards want the contestants and general population to respect their opinions, but when they pull that stuff, its just turns the show into a big joke.

I agree about the exploitation of ratings and dollars, this show has nothing to do with singing.

Anything can happen but right now Scott is the huge chalk to leave, probably around -300 right now. He is not going to get a bottom 3 bounce, is in a still crowded demographic, and is the worst singer and performer left.

Scott leaving should provide a nice boost for Matt though as I suspect whoever is voting for him will gravitate to the other piano playing singer.

:doh1They are bought and sold throughout the show. Buy low and sell high. Short selling contestants (betting them not to win) is very profitable.

Look at it from the opposite of betting on everyone. If you bet against everyone, you win money on all but the winner. Oftentimes, I can make a profit without them even performing due to the stupidity of the public.

To be honest, I prefer not to "think" about who wins and instead react and interpret data in order to make a profit. I really don't like any of the contestants as singers so I can approach it strictly from a moneymaking perspective.

Obviously, Adam is the favorite right now but it is still too early to call him or anyone else as the winner. That is contingent on certain voting trends as well as performances and outside factors.

I do have a some money on him to win but it is not at current odds. I also have some money on him not to win but that is not at current odds either. If he wins I will be largely indifferent.

I prefer not to speculate on who will win and would rather make that call when I am at least 98% certain it will happen. We are not there yet. Whether it happens in with 10 contestants left or 2 is largely irrelevant to me as I will likely make a nice profit at any rate and could care less about calling a winner any sooner than others.

It's all about value.

For instance, lets say that at the start of AI there is one big fav (+100 or so) some medium shots and some long shots. Let's say someone finds a longshot at 100-1 and that person makes it to the final two and loses to the original fav. The final odds were original fav -350 and longshot at +300.

Which bet was better, the original fav that won or the longshot?
