So if a guy is sent up to BUNT and he misses on first 2 tries and then hits a 3 run homer, he shouldnt get "high fived"?

But he didn't hit a 3 run homer. He flew out. If he got the bunt down the O's score at least 1 run because the DP would not have been in order.
