says alot, don't it? IMO tiger is unbettable, he so different from the average that its ridiculous to try to put him on an average.

i wouldnt bet him at those odds & i wouldnt bet against him either. that guy will move heaven & earth to win & that's hard to bet against.

it would be 1 thing, if he had only a few guys ahead of him, but he has over a handful out in front, when hes trailing 1 guy, the pressure is imo to much for that 1 person to handle, he now needs 12+ people to crumble.. not happening

I will say one thing. 80% of the time the weather conditions get worse as the day goes by. He will tee of and finish much earlier than the last group

cabrera is on a run, his game has all that is necessary to win at the masters, tiger's putt's do not appear to be falling this week, he won't win.

I think Tiger need 67 minimum tomorrow, probably 65-66 to have realistic shot. 2-3 under won't do it. Campbell doesn't scare me, his putt on 18 showed his nerves a bit. He should be 2 shots worse.

i live 90 minutes away...weather an absolute non factor today.

winds may be 10 instead of 5 in the afternoon but i don't see that as a dramatic change that will hurt scores.

What was the stat yesterday that Tiger's best comeback in a major was 6 strokes. To me, he had lots of opportunities yesterday that were lost. Canadians Steve Ames (-3) was given no air time yesterday while Mike Weir (-1) was on maybe twice. The CBS coverage is truly awful. We watch Ernie Els out of contention but miss other players clearly in the hunt.

I think Perry ends being a trivia question this weekend

He has won more money than any golfer who has not won a Major

He is putting well and has a win under his belt this year and
29 of 36 greens so far

More wins last 11 mths than anyone on tour

Great guy and would be a very deserving winner ....


he ain't gonna fold as he is too battle tested

if tiger is within 3 of the lead at end of the third round, and not too many people ahead of him he will win. needs to shoot around a 66 today.

Perry under 70 final rd scoring avg in 09

Perry with 10 straight rds of par or better

Cabrera has really has not done much since winning the Open and this year
has been very suspect with his play up to this week ... think 9th place
finish overseas in January is best finish

Stricker @20-1 is interesting .... he can flat ass roll the ball and has
been in the hunt before in Majors with 7 Top 8 finishes including a
runnerup to Singh at the PGA @ Sahalla in Washington

if ya look at his year: 3 top 3 finishes and 4th rd scores:

69 ... 62 .... 67 ... 69 ...69

I'd love to know what the odds were on Cabrera and Perry Wednesday night. Golf Channel mentioned that Johnny Miller predicted Cabrera may win the Masters last week on air.

Was my value pick earlier in the thread, he has a good record at Agusta, and like the course alot, Tiger is toast, wagering on him for tomorrow is burnt money.

I played Stricker against Kim head to head today.........easy winner.

I think Stricker has too much ground to make up.

Stricker has some demons to fight from past majors, Doc. And, I just don't like him to make up ground on Cabrera AND Perry, and even Furyk. I think Sabbatini will outplay him and further, I don't think Rory is a good pairing for Stricker. Respect your opinion, though, and give him an outside chance. Any accomplished player that close who can putt championship greens is value at 20-1.

I like Perry and have since Mid Friday from what I've seen and heard
about his "attitude" now about Majors

I like Stricker only because of the odds ... and also because I got paired
with him in the 1990 Lost Creek 2 Man shootout .... it was a sandbag
festival and get this:

Stricker and me hit it off ... He is a Univ of Illinois and I am a huge Univ of
Iowa fan .... Stricker starts out and birdies the 1st 6 holes in a row ... we
catch rain and sitting under a tree and I look at his card and dude shows up with a O handicap .... asked him where ... Holy Shit:

I love your position on Perry. But, how was Oglivy only +650? I saw 20-1 at least on him. Your Woods and Harrington "NO" bets should come in, why not hedge a little on Perry and really make a big payday regardless what he does tomorrow? Lots to chew on there.

I think you're right. Gonna work on the numbers to hedge. Kenny has the experience where i dont think he will gag. Hits too many fairways and greens to shoot a bad score. Honestly Furyk is the only one that really scares me. Lefty and Tiger are too far back. Played these at a small site. I'm sure someone threw a dime or two on Ogilvey that knocked his odds down.

He aint gonna fold as I think he shoots 3 under tomorrow and
gets a well deserved win and a great way to cap off an
interesting career


he is a hellva nice guy and with both of his folks nearing the
end of their rope how nice it would be for him to have his
folks see that before they move on


Great story .... 1st time Perry finally beat his old man he
was one stroke down and aced the 18th hole
