Let me emphasize that I have Justin Upton on the bench and I'm trying to do anything I can to get him in the lineup. I'll still have an outfield of Soriano, Quentin, Adam Jones and Justin Upton.

My IF will be Todd Helton, O-Dog, Wright and Young... It used to be Furcal, Figgins, O-Dog and Cabrera....

It's an 8-8 league. Basic 8-8 head to head. OPS, TB are the only weird additions...

I want to add power at 3b and ss. Todd Helton looks like he may be back to his old form

You think so? I need power at my middle infield positions and I figure Upton will just fill in for Grandson so really I'm not losing anything there.

Really the trade feels like Cabrera and Figgins for Wright and Young (to me). I figure this kid needs an OF and a 1b and I need a SS and a 3B.

I may pull all my hair out if I can't get Upton in the damn lineup next week.

By the way, he's hitting over .300 now. Where's that silly trippp who said he'd never hit over .300 in his career. He may not finish this year over .300, but he's a great hitter.

Young hurt his back diving for a ball and he'll be back in the lineup soon. Not sure how that is "back" problems.

The point of this deal is that Upton needs to play for me. Losing Granderson means nothing to me, because I'm putting Upton in his place. I need to get Upton in the lineup. I can't sit anyone that is playing against him.

I look at it like this TTP...

Helton can hit for a similar average, maybe even better, than Miguel Cabrera. He may have 20 fewer HR's, and 30 fewer RBI's, but that will be made up for by Wright have 30 more HR's than Figgins and 70 more RBI's. Michael Young will have 30-40 more RBI's than Furcal (Who I have playing short now), and he'll hit for a higher average.

Upton may have a better season than Granderson by the time it's all said and done. He'll have a comprable season regardless...

SO I'm drastically upgrading at SS and 3b, and I'm downgrading only at 1b.

guess it depends on team needs but maybe offer him curtis for young

and see if he bites and play young at third. I dont f'n know:LMAO

Thanks, I did cancel the trade even if I argued with you. If there are two people out there that think i'm getting ripped off, I'll listen.

That's not a valid reason to take less than equal value.

You lose that trade by a good bit IMO.

It's in the air right now. He's always had a big hole in his swing, but he's talented enough that he overcame it in the past. His swing is big and he can't lay off the slider low and away. He's lost all his confidence, but he did start like this last year. I've never seen a player look more lost at the plate than he has looked but he looked like that last year too at times...... It's really tough to say. It may be worth the gamble though...
