Should a forum be on the stiff list if an advertising book stiffs players?

Re: Should a forum be on the stiff list if an advertising book stiffs players?

A poster stiffs another poster $200 and he's on the stiff list forever. WTF

Most time when books stiff players, the guys close to the forum owners still get paid.

Bailouts are even better for forum owners,. Roberto and RPM made some coin when CRIS bailed out RCS.

RAIDERS

I have to kinda disagree

when we First started here, we extended "CREDIT" to several people and were BURNED by more than 1- EOG--er and yet have NEVER said one word to ANYONE about the "STIFFS"

I will speak more to Shrink about this on 1-1 Basis & make my final decision next week on whether to EXPOSE the STIFF(s) or NOT

I personally don't think it's in ANYONE's Best Interest to Expose STIFF(s) But yet not extremely Happy about extended credit to people that provided resonable credit references AND yet were unable to pay.

Which leads me to my last point, there is a HUGE difference from NOT being able to pay a Debt AND choosing not to pay your Debt(s) . . .

It's been awhile since this transpired, however, IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE ABOVE MENTIONED POSTERS ..........Please pick up the phone and either

#1 PAY THE FU***** DEBT

#2 MAKE SOME TYPE ARRANGEMENTS

#3 OR AT LEAST COMMUNICATE WITH STEVE OR BRANDON or whomever you had the credit--arrangements with AND

#4 DO THE RIGHT THING and realize communication is the **KEY**

THANKS

CAN"T DO IT W V U

I am very very VERY Different than Most when it comes to SHIT like this & contrary to poular BELIEF, I give people EVERY Benefit of the DOUBT possible and give the as much as 2--yrs to do the right thing, YES, I said 2--yrs AND you would be shocked How many People have picked up the phone after 2--yrs & said to ME, "MIKE I HAVE YOUR CASH"

Loman, VD, & Others feel free to comment & tell me if you agree OR Disagree

I personally can't see what GOOD it DOES (other than alerting other Bookmakers) which would have NO IDEA a posters screename VS Real Name or Alias he may use to get "Credit" accts ..........

WVU, I like you but at this time NOT 1--name will be "EXPOSED" here

sorry . . . . .

I will even go one--step More & give the SLOW---PAYS credit for paying, if they give me A) THE CASH B) the "OK" to state that they Did pay debt and possible excuse for the much needed time

whether you agree OR disagree, Hope you repsect our decision NOT to EXPOSE at this time ............

Shrink, we will discuss this (in--person)

Re: Should a forum be on the stiff list if an advertising book stiffs players?

Who cares so much about the losers who don't pay?

More valuable is to identify the losers who do pay. Isn't that the point of every casino in the world?

I say reveal them.

as I said BEFORE

Shrink have EXPAND Bandwidth for me to expose my STIFF LIST after I retire

might not believe this but we have received an email ALREADY stating that we will be paid on AUG 1st from UNNAMED Poster . . . . Proving he or she IS STILL on or around E O G . . . . .

Please realize, we are fully aware that thing can & do get "TOUGH" but I am of the opinion there is NO EXCUSE in the WORLD, not to pick up the phone or send 30--sec email explaining what in the HELL is GOING ON ..........

Thanks for Understanding W V U and you may or may not see couple posters exposed next week AFTER I VISIT with SHRINK on this sensative topic . . . .

BFC- I agree that book to poster list should be up but not the poster vs. poster type bets. Be damn sure that you have the right guy.

Steak tarter once went to the RX and told them I owed 20 dimes. Fortunately he admitted he had the wrong guy.

Re: Should a forum be on the stiff list if an advertising book stiffs players?

Also- Guys on payment plans shouldn't even be mentioned if the payments are consistent.

RAIDERS

It's a "Tough---call" altho I DON"T like seee anyone ever get SCREWED out of 1--cent, it can & does Happen and Different People Re---act Differently

I'd be ASHAMED to ADMIT some of the things I use to "DO" but that was years & years ago . . . . NOW, I just sit back and allow the customer to HOPEFULLY do the "Right thing" . . . .

TO be honest, I really don't know how or why these Poster vs Poster wagers ever take Place . . . . and/or how you would Know which Posters would Pay & which wouldn't . . . . we get Credit References and confirm them AND even after all this, WE ARE STILL LEFT SEARCHING FOR THE CLIENT . . . .

anyway, For Now, BFC WILL NOT EXPOSE ANY STIFFS . . . . .

RAIDERS .........

The amounts "VARY"

The one that has me the most UPSET (altho it's NOT near the HIGHEST)

is the $2500 "STIFF" as we did EVERYTHING we could for this acct holder!

so, if "you" are reading this "un--known" Poster . . . . Pick up the phone, get this handled AND NO ONE ever has any--clue who it was . . . .

The Highest = $15,000 AND if just 1/4 of your "Hard Luck" stories are TRUE, I honestly feel very very sorry for you & would workout an easy pymt plan for you "SIR" . . . . .

This will be ALLLLLLL The "INFO" B F C provides on these "Posters" & again have been unreal patient & alllowed many months to go by . . . .

Please pick up the PHONE & make arrangement & "NO Harm, NO Foul"

JIMMY

we call as Many as 10---people and check on credit/pymts/limits etc etc etc

There is no FULL--PROOF Method & People that have been good for YEARS & YEARS do go bad "sometimes" . . . . .

It's very common, when I walked INTO CRIS & asked to do BOOK 2 BOOK I offered a very significant Deposit ..........They made several phone calls and waived the Dep and we now do BOOK 2 BOOK up to 20-K per Transaction

oh i know people fall on hard times especially in this economy. I just didnt know books did that. surprised guys would be comfortable giving ssnumbers, etc.

I guess its not that crazy as bookies give credit every week when they take bets not knowing if the guy just went broke and has no chance of paying. its a cost of doing business.

These books all started on credit.. Then they went offshore so they could go online and get transactions going.

You think dudes moved to the islands that were not bookies first?? Maybe now but not then..

thats funny tho cuz the last few years i have been saying how much better i like the offshore accts cuz you have to put the money up first and thats less dangerous. credit is not a good thing for the player. i like not having it. it forces you to be more disciplined.

JIMMY MAC is correct, credit does NOTHNG for the player, all it does is eventually get them STUCK LIKE CHUCK . . . . may take 6 weeks, 6-months, OR 6---yrs But give a "GUY" enough credit & he will usually HANG HIMSELF

BFc, do you know a Mark from Philly that went offshore, well he didn't go then in 96 but he sent his operation down there before that. Short skinny good looking probably Italian. I wonder if it/he became a well known book or not.

I had a local that I slow paid a couple times with 50% right away then 500 a week. He cut me to 250 a game but allowed 250 reveses separately in bases but when I went up 10 k I was still 250 a game and he would onlly give me 50% then 500 a week. That sucked but 500per wk all mlb season was nice.

Re: Should a forum be on the stiff list if an advertising book stiffs players?

I think forums who take on advertisors should have some responsibility...same as an agent with a book....

But it is up to the individual to read the fine print of the book and see what he is getting himself into and perhaps address the forum for advice and council...

I couldn't sleep at night if I ever started a forum and had an book on the front page that I knew were crooks...
