Couldn't agree more here. Wall is getting the playing time anticipated and has the potential to post similar stats to those that Derrick Rose had in his rookie season. After winning the Most Outstanding Player award in summer league, he's picking up where he left off.
There are however some red flags against historical success, as since 2000, only two number one picks have gone on to win ROY (Rose and LeBron James). It’ll also be interesting to see how the backcourt of Wall and Gilbert Arenas continue to gel over time. Wall has the best chance to win the award, given his talent and young big-men teammates (Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee). Not sure I'd consider him a lock depending on Blake Griffin's anticipated success or perhaps second coming of Greg Oden.
