To be honest

I hate sports betting and hate casino gambling even more!

I have no problem with casino gambling because I almost never do it.

I only bet sports to make easy money and keep me from being a slave in this world.

I have had great success doing this, but as I get older I am hating this too.

I have just about quit betting and am finding it really hard to get involved again.

It might be my health problems too

I am sure I will get back in this but not sure when.

It's a fucked up life to be honest.

But

It is also a great life too.....

It took me years to master the mental part of gambling. I can't remember the last time a gambling loss upset me, except maybe missing a putt on #18 for the money. Events that are out of my control don't faze me anymore.

Like, uh. say. bookmaker, or tout, or gambling author or seminar speaker, or cocktail waitress.

I have been a professional gambler for 36 years. My 2010 return was e-filed on Thursday. Good Luck

I've improved a lot with this as well..

I still get pissed at stupid plays though, do you???

Except I need open heart surgery soon to repair an aortic aneurysm right above the heart. It's a tricky operation but it has to be done soon.

When everything goes bad u need to stay away and enjoy life. We are lucky today, you can sit in a park with an ipad and play Chess versus someone in another part of the world etc. Excercise will make you look and most importantly feel better. So much to do out there and the constant watching lines and capping and then tv games and scoreboard watching is very unhealthy. We all go thru the bad and horrible streaks. Anyone who says they don't is a liar. Take a break, get some other hobbies and you will come back a better player if you come back at all....

yeah if you said missing a short one on 18 for all the marbles did not bother you I'd have to call bs.

Gambling is a tricky business. To win, you must be fully immersed in the process. But, by doing that, you can lose the balance in life necessary for health and happiness.

ps: Sometimes bookmakers do close down; see: Bet911. Also, sometimes bookmakers limit players that are winning; see: SIA, Phoenix, DSI

Football was tough for many and so isn't hoops this year. You hate to hear it but money management and discipline are so important. Hang in until the run happens. Good luck.

The Bottom line for me is that sat is the worst day for a lot of people as you have so many games etc.heck i went 2-2 but made money as the 2 top plays won for me.On a given sat you can play too many games, look to 3 to 4 games only over the entire day and play no more i have found the best to do..........i hope it turn fast for you and as always bol with all your action.ck

That's the trouble with the gadfly-curmudgeon shtick. It's a one-note song. It's true that gamblers are prone to lying which puts Jeff on the right side often enough. It's also true that people like Bernie are exceptionally honest and post real questions, dilemmas, complications, and confessions that others respond to in heartfelt ways. If your whole game consists in calling bullsh*t you might as well have those people on Ignore.

Bernardo is just conveying what every gambler feels after a bad spell.

But it's a feeling that always lingers, even during the good spells.

Unless you have some sort of advantage, there is really no point to gambling, other than entertainment. And even if you have an advantage, your head is often times handed to you.

High Times---I Had quad bypass surgery on 12/9/2010- --11 weeks and I feel much better, walking 3 ,4 miles a day. I could not do that before. Im being checked for a pacemaker next week--feeling so good I really want to reject this. Good Luck to you. Im 64 years old.
