Is the Tennis Play of the Month a +475 dog?

Andy Roddick vs. Dudi Sela +475

Roddick is coming off a tournament victory in the Memphis 500. A grueling three-set match against the young gun Milos Raonic. It was actually a very impressive win, that could've easily ended in straight sets. The Championship point that finally won the match in the third set was quite the highlight. I'm sure ESPN is showing it non-stop.

But if you saw the match, you could clearly tell that Andy wasn't 100 percent. After winning the 1st set, the first thing he did was run back to the locker room. And when resting between games, he looked sick and frazzled.

Andy has a Davis Cup match in Chile in the beginning of March, and the Indian Wells Master right after.

He needs some time to rest and also prepare for these events. Delray Beach (tourney) is nothing at this point.

Dudi Sela is in a good spot here. He's fast, and his one-handed backhand will be enough to run Roddick off the court and onto a plane.

Odds will only get worse. Take the dog.

Andy Roddick withdrew from the event.

Andy Roddick, the most glamorous name in the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, has withdrawn from the event. Roddick was scheduled to play his opening match Tuesday night at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
Roddick said he was ill. He is scheduled to talk to the media about his withdrawal at 3:30 p.m. today. Sunday in Memphis, Roddick won the 30th title of his career.

That really sucks. It shows these guys and gals have no respect for the promoters and the public which is really the lifeline of tennis. The masses follow the Grand Slams, but stars have to live up to their commitments to make the minor events viable. For every player who's truly sick, there are 6 who just don't want to bother with honoring their schedule. It shows why there's an identity problem in tennis.

It sucks as a fan, but not necessarily as a bettor. There's situations like this throughout the year, where it's a perfect time to fade. Cha-ching!

It sucks when they don't show. You can't fade him, then.
