If the NBA was 'embarrassed' about players demanding trades and free agents taking their talents elsewhere, they would never have a tv commercial poking fun at a player who's possibly demanding a trade. D Wade has a phone commercial where someone mistakenly thinks he wants to be traded from the Heat. Many NBA players are involved in this commercial 'begging' D Wade to come to their city. Steve Nash even puts in his 2 cents and tells DW that "its a dry heat" in Phoenix.
I think the NBA loves this stuff, they love the drama, they don't want their league to be a league of players who just play where they're drafted, ya know, like the old days.
