Re: A March to Pointspread Glory
It is always hard to follow a capper.....no matter how good they are (and JK is normally one of the best in CBB)......when their focus is being taken away by other things.
Being a good handicapper requires huge amounts of time, effort and discipline. And then a lot of luck as well. If JK is doing a good job running EOG on a daily basis, the hours it takes to do this are interfering with his handicapping time. How could they not?
If you take a look at the results over the last five months, it is pretty obvious. You can't serve two masters at the same time, and be exceptionally good at both.
Take our old buddy, Micelli. Just the mere mention of his name gives certain EOG posters a hard-on.
He was a very good CBB capper for a long time. Then he got married, spent a lot of hours in his job, and had a son. All of that interfered with his ability to handicap games. In fact, since the birth of his son, he is down about 40 units in CBB, and has pretty much closed up the shop as far as posting selections.
I hope JK goes 5 and 0 today, since I am throwing down a little bit on each game. But following him with serious money at this point is a mistake as long as his attentions are divided.
