Are your products shrinking ?

a "half gallon " of ice cream ( 64 0z) is now like 1.5 quarts ( 48 ounces). A "gallon" of bleach is something like 96 ounces, not 128 ounces.

a cube of Pepsi is now 20 cans instead of 24.

Any more examples ?

You're right, Doug. I've noticed this trend.

I was food shopping the other day and saw what I thought was a great deal on Pepsi... I got closer and realized it was an 8-pack, and not a 12-pack.

This is GREAT - almost as great as when Colin CowTURD did the same - from 4 to 3

Hopefully Rome and TURD will go to ZERO rather soon

SOME store brands are 56 ounces of Ice Cream but that is very rare. I hate it when I make a Mud Pie because the loss of 8-16 ounces means a smaller Pie and while maybe that isn't so bad knowing how many calories are in 1 I'd much rather make the bigger pie and have more left over

"I was in the pool! I was in the pool!"

Oh . . . uh . . . you mean grocery store products.

Yeah, that's been happening for a while. One of the many tricks being played to convince us that there's no inflation. They think that we won't recognize that it's inflation if the price is the same but the package (I swear I was in the pool) is smaller.

Just like......Hellman's/Best Foods - here in CA and on the Best Coast this SAME product is sold as: Dreyers

I wait until stores have a sale so I can get around 4, 12-packs for around $9-$11. I do this and then don't need any for some time. I know around the Holidays and all they will go on sale so I am usually fine until they do

Pepsi is test marketing 1.5 liter bottles here for 99 cents. I'm sure they will phase the 2 liter bottles out, then raise the price. Also Frito Lays will be shrinking their bags AGAIN after the 4th of July.

Re: Are your products shrinking ?

Doug, all this is done to offset the high prices on the CBOT with corn, soybeans, and wheat.

Re: Are your products shrinking ?

of course corn is involved....

CBOT is Chicago board of trade, right Cornhead ?
