Hello gang.
Off to a strong 4-1 start in college football -
expecting more of the same in NFL action!!!
I will be posting a few winners each week -
usually around mid-week.
The only time I will post later in the week -
is if I'm waiting on an injury or watching line-movement.
Either way - I will post by Friday at the latest.

Ok - as promised - here are my Week 1 selections - nice and early!!!

Play #1 - Falcons -2 1/2 over/@ Bears / 2 Star Play = 5 Units.

I believe this is a no-brainer... as Atlanta has made some nice additions.
Matt Ryan is a stud -

and he will show it against this average at best defense.
Of course -
I'd like it more if it were in the friendly confines of the Georgia Dome...lol
But that won't discourage me here.

Cutler will make just enough mistakes -
to take away any chance Da-Bears had to win.
I expect the dirty-birds to jump out early -
and then run the ball and play the clock.
Final score 31-17.

Play #2 - Eagles -4 1/2 over/@ Rams / 3 Star Play = 10 Units.

Vick and Co. may not have looked like a "Dream-Team" in pre-season play...
... but then again - WHO DID???

Philly has always played well vs. the Rams -
winning 7 of the last 8 meetings ATS!!!
Also - the Rams always start the season slow -
going 1-9-1 ATS last 11 season openers.
I would be surprised if the Rams score more than once -
while giving up a truck-load!!!

Play #3 - Steelers +3 (-130) @ the Ravens
Bought 1 point over/ 2 Star Play = 5 Units.

Steelers the better team - better QB - better coach - better defense!!!
Ravens getting old - and Flacko seems to lose more weapons than he gains.
The underdog is 6-2-1 ATS last 9 meetings.
Ravens are 2-6-1 ATS last 9 vs. AFC North opponents.
Although these two boast strong defenses -
the over has been the play 7 of last 11.
I expect Big Ben Rapist-berger :doggie to have his usual strong outting -
and take full advantage -
of an aging Raven "D" that was usually their strength -
but will now be a liability.
Final score 33-20.

Lastly -
Play #4 - I roll with the Lions +2 over/@ the Bucs / 3 Star Play = 10 Units.

Never thought I'd see the day where I was believing in the Lions... but...
they looked great vs. the Pats in pre-season - which normally -
I wouldn't take too serious.
But - the Pats dominated everyone else in pre-season, and...
they wanted to beat Detroit as well.
Fact is - they couldn't!!!
This defense willl eat-up Josh Freeman and his limited offense.
And when the Lions have the ball - they will strike at will!!!
This is another great young QB -
that will be breaking all-kinds of records in the future.

I am not buying into the BUCs and last years fluke season.
Sure - they are a bit improved from years past - but not that much!!!
Once again - I'd like this one even more in Detroit -
but don't think it matters here either.
Final score 38-13.

4 solid plays -
looking to out-do my performance of Week 1 in NCAAF (4-1 / +11 Units).

Again - for the most part - try to play straight wagers -
avoid parlays and teasers (unless they are the $5-$10 variety).
They are sucker bets :handjob: - please trust me!!!
Over time, they just cost you too much money.
Also - it is a good idea to have several books - to shop for best lines.
I have 2 on-line accounts and a handful of local books -
and believe me - lines vary!!!

NY fans will be loud n proud!!!

I think the safest bet for the steals vs ravens is Touchdowns - Ov 40 1/2 on BetOnline.

Ravens are out there to win this game- and they are a very skilled team. Strong and quick.

Steelers are also a force to be reckoned with.

It's almost guarantee this game will be a brawl - both teams will have their chances- and one of them is likely to score in the 30 range. I could't bet on a winner here though.

Your spot on with the Falcons. Im a bit dissipointed they lost all 4 pre season games- but comparing their match ups with the Bears - The Flacons had much better compition.

This will make them more prepaired- Over prepaird for a team like Da-Bears. The quater back is already talking about how he isn't sure about staying with the team. Pfft- you really think the bears have a chance?

I would bet on the lions- but them being away is too much of a scare for me.

And the egles- they are just too rustly looking. Of course they'll beat the rams- if they don't that's a bad beat.

Well - only went 2 and 2 on the day -
but did hit both 3 Star / 10 Units plays!!!
Missed on the Falcons and a 5 star play -
as well as on the Steelers - a 3 star play.
I'm sure no capper out there -
predicted what the Ravens unleashed on Pittsburgh...lol

But Eagleas and Lions did what I expected -
and took care of business!!!

Not at all happy with 2 for 2 - but like the positive units!!!

Adding a play this evening -

Patriots -6 1/2 (-120) over/@ the Dolphins /
2 Star Play = 3 Units

Bought off 1/2 a point here on a gut feeling -
lots of action on this one - and we see a push???

I like the Pats here -
as they have usually beaten the Fish well when they have won.
I don't see enough improvement from Miami -
to warrant a wager here on the Fins.

Pats are in my opinion - still the team to beat in the AFC.
I know they are not what they once were -
but they still have a great coach and great QB.
Those 2 ingredients will win many games...
this will be one of those games.

It may not be in glaring fashion - may not be a barn-burner.
But in the end -
Brady and Co. will be victorious and it will be by 7 of more.

Final score 30-23 (or better...lol)

Okay - heading outta town for a few days -
posting my plays early - get 'em in!!!

Plays I have wagered:

Cowboys -2 1/2 (-120) over/@ 49ers / 2 Star Play = 5 Units

Boys looked strong against the Jets on an emotional 9/11 game in NY/NJ.
They took a bad loss - and unfortunately for San Fran...
someone will have to pay...lol
49ers just don't have the defensive backfield to handle Romo and Co. IMO.
I believe we see a HUGE passing day for Dallas - leading to alot of points!!!
San Fran on offense - will run and waste clock -
which will work against them.
Final score 41-13.

Next - Packers -9 1/2 over/@ Panthers / 2 Star Play = 5 Units

Sorry - although Cam will be a good NFL player -
he won't look like it this week!!!
Hot off a record-breaking rookie performance in his 1st game...
422 passing yards -
Cam Newton -
will indeed feel what it is like to be less fortunate on Sunday afternoon.
This Packer defense got shown-up last week on National TV -
as Brees lit them up!!!
I believe - this is a proud bunch...
and will be looking to shut-down a rookie QB - you dig?
On the other hand -
I don't think the Cats have a chance-in-HELL of stopping the Packs "O".
I expect this one to get ugly - and cash with little effort.

I like a home-coming... expect the dome to be ROCKIN'!!!
And don't be surprised -
to see an abundance of Vick jerseys in the stands!!!
These fans didn't want to let Vick go - the owner did.
I think Vick puts the Eagles on his shoulders here -
and does more than Ryan to get the win.
Of course -
I like all of Vicks weapons and role-players more than Ryan's also.
Plus - Andy Reid is just a great coach - hard as heck to beat.
I think this will be the best game of the day - and it's the late game - op:.

In addition to my 3 posted plays - here are my leans on a few other games:

Steelers -14 over Seagulls
Feel sorry for this Seattle team walking into the Lion's Den here.
Rapistberger and Co. can't get last week behind them fast enough!!!


Browns -1 over/@ Colts
I think Brownies run run run until they hit pay-dirt!!!
Colts can't stop anything- and wont score enough to make it competive.
Collins will be wishing he stayed retired soon enough...lol

Lions -9 over Chiefs
K.C. looked about as bad as you can look in week 1.
I have a feeling they will look equally bad or worse this week...lol
Calvin Johnson has a huge day - mis-mathces on defense are exploited.
And K.C. lost their best defensive player - to make things worse!!!

Texans -3 over the Fish
Texans got the blue-print on Monday night -
as the Packers showed the weaknesses.
Short week for Miami - won't help matters much...lol

May add one or two of these leans to my final card...
...if I find more justification.

Not sure why the line has dropped 2 points since it opened?
Calvin Johnson has a sore ankle - but is probable.
Sharps must be expecting a bounce-back performance from K.C.?
Not me...lol
Lions were great at home last year (7-1 ATS) -
and K.C. is usually far better @ home.
Buffalo man-handled them last week -
and I don't see thing looking better this week.

Detroit defense should get to Cassel early and often -
while their "O" picks on a bad defense -
that will be without their best player on the field!!!

Lions appear to be the team to beat IMO.

Panthers -3 over Jags
If Fig Newton did that vs. Packers and Cardinals - what happens here?

Jets are right in the mix.

Packers -3 over/@ Bears
Bears looked better Week 1 than Week 2 - trend continues Week 3.

Those are the ones worth considering in my honest opinion.

Not the most impressive start I have ever had -
but gotta-like the positive units!!!

Here is my final card for Week 3:

Panthers -3 (-120) over visiting Jaguars / 2 Star Play = 3 Units

Cam has shown all of us doubters that he can play with the big-boys.
I have to believe -
this will be his best game yet - at home vs a week Jag team.
I'm calling for 500 yards in the air for Fig Newton
- who should pick this "D" apart!!!

I watched the Charegers and Bucs - have their way vs. Minnesota.
Even though Vikes led Bucs most of the game - I never doubted Bucs.
Here - the old McNabb will play below expectations -
and one dimensional Minny - will be exposed once again!!!
Poor A. Peterson - imagine if he was on a "good" team past few years...lol
Stafford and Calvin Johnson will show-off the future stars of the NFL!!!

Ravens -3 (-130) over/@ Rams / 3 Star Play = 3 Units

Ravens beat-up the Steelers and then were embarrassed by the Titans.
That makes for a pissed-off Raven team -
ready to unleash some fury on poor St Louis.
If I were Sam Bradford - I'd say a few prayers Saturday night -
as he should be scared!!!
I think this is over early - and just gets worse!!!
Final score 44-17

Lastly - I roll with the -
Bolts in San Diego -14 (-120) over the Chiefs / 3 Star Play - 3 Units

Bolts off a big game vs Patriots where they came out the loser.
That won't sit well with Rivers and Co. -
and @ San Diego - vs. a Chief team giving-up points left and right -
I see big things!!!
I expect business as usual here - with a relatively easy cover.
Final score 44-10.

Really like the -
Steelers -10 1/2 over the Colts
Packers -3 over the Bears
Eagles -9 over Giants

But will be watching and learning on these only... op:

it wasn't what I had hoped for - but not a bad week by any means.
Cashed the Panthers - cashed the Ravens...
Pushed my biggest bet to date on this site with the Lions -
as they were sleep-walking in the 1st half... then wake-up late...arg


Missed on the f#ckin' Bolts... what a bummer.
If that's not one of the hardest teams to get a read on -
year in and year out...
Then I don't know who is!!!

They got the win - no cover.

2-1-1 on the day.

Also missed on my 1 Unit Parlay.

Well - last weeks results sucked ballz...lol
Bills and Falcons blew big leads -
to take what looked like a 3-0 day - right out of my hands!!!
Tons of 2nd-half collapses last week - made Vegas big $$$!!!

Here is what I have wagered this week:

Eagles -2 1/2 over/@ Bills

I LOVE this play - and made it a 3 Star play = 10 Units
(equal to largest bet I've posted this season)

Bengals -1 over/@ Jaguars

Bengals defense is strong - and Jags score less than 9 pts a game!!!

2 Star play = 3 Units

Titans +3 1/2 over/@ Steelers

Another strong defense - and don't look now...
but Hasselbeck is not done yet!!!...lol

2 Star play = 3 Units

3 plays - 1 obviously stronger than the others.

1-2 on the day yesterday - with a big loss/let-down on the Eagles.

Gonna get it back tonight - with an easy winner!!!

have beaten Chicago.

Packers won 27-17 and Saints beat them even worse 30-13!!!
I think the Lions are just as good or better than both those teams...
