Last time around the game opened Bama -3 @ home, which promptly moved to -6. Its fair to say with a bit of luck they could have covered, so its no surprise to see probably the same people steaming in again. I am surprised that there's not more talk about the total which was 42 last time and 40.5 now. With all the media going on about how good both defenses are I fully expected the squares on here to be lemming like on the under, just like the Pitt -7.5 yesterday.

Considering the score last time, both teams will feel their defense is adequate and use the last few weeks working on the offensive, add the point scoring atmosphere of the superdome and the OVER appears a decent propostion. :cheers

the 3 is even less meaningful in college than it is in the NFL despite all the hype about it. But books also know people live and die by "3 is a magic number' nonesense. So the game at NOT 3 is betting for action.

In most of these games where either team could win you have to look at the ML. Especially when the spread is smallish. LSU opened 6 weeks ago -115 on the ML Since then there have been about 30 moves at least. Since the first week that had quite a bit of back and forth it has been steady Alabama money. I suspect guys who got Bama +100 or better may have already bought back on the LSU side probably when they got to +125. But I think money keeps pouring in on alabama regardless.

In the end I think LSU wins in a semi blow out, probably more than a TD. I surely dont think the spread will matter at all here. One side wins convincingly I just think LSU has the better chance of that.
