Here's why many believe Online Poker is rigged

This morning around 4am eastern I'm in a six person .50/1.00 No Limit holdem gm, been playing 2hrs up about 100.00. I get pocket pair AA, raise 1.00 everyone calls. Flop = A, X, 6 rainbow. 50c bet to me, raise 3.00, two callers. Turn = 5 matching suit (Diamonds) w/X, check to me so I bet 20.00, this guy goes ALL-IN! (about 72.00) :+clueless Ok, I'm thinking he has lower set or 2pair. I call. Auto flip J&9 of Diamonds:doh1 River = 7 DIAMONDS

I have recently seen a product advertised that "claims" to know the hand of every deal in a lot of poker rooms because they have cracked the supposedly randomized dealing algorithms used.

Whilst I don't believe this particular ad (you could make a lot more $ keeping quiet about it than selling it for $49.95) as a technician I know this claim is possible. All it takes is the original software developer(s) to know how the cards are dealt.

When I first started playing on-line a couple of years ago I saw many examples similar to what Sam describes. With what we've all seen and read about crooked poker games over the years why would anyone think it's gotten more honest because of the Internet?

And yes, Shrink, I am going to try a free roll sometime soon.

why woould any one call a raise in nl with j,9s ?
even worse play, calling after hitting no part of the flop.
in the long run plays/players like this make online poker profitable, however suspect actions have curtailed my online play to almost zero.
I'm convinced somebody is cheating somewhere on every level, as greed and technology make it too easy.

Sam, you just have to hope they don't leave your table right away and have enough of a bankroll that you can keep playing with them. I played in a super loose game last night where people were calling large raises with garbage cards. Had Kings pushed all in lost to fives when they caught another on the flop. I laughed, re-loaded and had all of it back plus a $150 more inside of an hour, and made sure I added the dude to my buddy list. If you get screwed 2 or 3 times in a row it sucks, but if you have the nutz with these fools they will pay you in spades, you just have to be patient.

ive played with the nits a million times and as bad as they are they can continue to suck out on you....b/c even solid hands get cracked...i know exactly what you are saying when you just wait in the weeds for a monster hand so you can get even and they crack your AA with some garbage 7/10off which only further puts you on tilt...thats the voilent swings of poker unfortunately.....ive had runs where i cant lose and runs (months upon months were i would be lucky to play breakeven poker)....and i consider myself to be a solid player and have done VERY well playing online....just have to grind thru the downtimes b/c they are inevitable....

it never hurts to take some winnings off the table either....similar to the sportsbooks their are a lot of poker sites that offer some solid bonus'....move your money around when not running hot and collect the bonus'....party sent me a 100 for free yesterday just to play b/c i havent played their in a few months....i got it up to almost 300 already playing at the NL50 and PLO25 tables....

gl and hang tough
