Sterling Brunch Buffet at Bally's has an all you can eat Lobster buffet but it's $99. May have changed too.

I'm grateful to Tom Izzo who emptied his bench up 20 with 3 minutes to go and the back up guard shyt down the back of his legs.

Ohio st 2h

I'm grateful that Arizona st is a shyt basketball team.

Oregon -2

I'm grateful Duke and North Carolina are coached by 2 dumbasses that cant coach a half court game.

Nc Duke under 2h

I'm sad that ok st is out of the conference tourney. In conference games they went 19-0 to the over in the first half.

I'm sad I had the Miami heat +5 and mL +190 today up 20 at the half. Lost by DD.

I'm grateful for the westgate sportsbook for their great betting board. I'm grateful they didnt have enough ticket windows open as it saved me a South Carolina +8 bet.

I'm grateful westgate passes out drink tickets out like Kleenex to a kid with a running nose. I'm sad they charge 2 drink tickets for Jack Daniel's.

Good luck in LV sportsrmylife, but I agree with squarepants.

After march madness, get at least a part-time job.

OT: Squarepants, congratulations with the WG haul this year.

The only tri-levels I know on Decatur are between Blue Diamond & Cactus. Is that where you're staying, mile west of South Point?

Update.

The mental side of firing in more bets after going 0-4 on the early games is something I've had to embrace a couple times this week. Not so much an 0-4 but an 0-fer morning/afternoon session. Because you know what happens on the bets you would make if you were having a good day but you pass because you are having a bad day. They always fkn win. Well Sunday was an example of that. Lakers up 10 late playing 4....lost. Michigan st first half over...dead. bulls first half over....dead.

Kept firing on the late 2 NBA games for a small winning day. Went 4-0 on those games. Felt good my capping came through.

Had a great Friday and Saturday betting. Played at westgate which is the nuts when it comes to games. The only thing that blows is a drink ticket for Jack on the rocks those fuckers measure pour exactly one ounce for your drink. Jesus you guys. Every other place is a strong glass of Jack. Oh well. Beer at the westgate it is. Oh and Jack is 2 drink tickets....that's why I drink beer there from here on out.

So after a good Saturday night I decided to up my poker room game. I've heard all these stories about how wold the 1/3 games are at the Wynn and the Bellagio. So I gave the Bellagio a shot.

Fkn wild action is confirmed. There was a Russian dude with like 1300 in front of him when I sat down. If he bet he bet all 3 streets. Kept firing with his final bet on the river being betting 2 black chips. He was about 4 bluffs to 1 winning hand bet. That 1300 was down to 200 at the time I left. The action was great. 3 bets and 4 bets were very common in a round. Plenty of money there.

Sunday night (currently Monday morning) I'm playing at the Wynn right now. Good action at 1/3. But the thing that's the absolute nuts here is the cocktail waitresses. Fkn very good looking. Young with solid bodies. Best I've seen in town. Plus they are always around the poker room. They deliver and take drink orders at the same time. Good hustle. Not like the Caesars girls who when they are delivering cant take an order and disappear for long periods of time even though you could stand on the poker room and take a piss and hit the bar they get drinks from.

I'm going to explore the Bellagio and Wynn poker rooms more often. Plus max rake is $5.

Fuck the Venetian and their $7 per hand rake. Wont play cash there again.

Weather is going to be in the 70s this week. This white boy might find some color.

Found a golden collar for my daily feast. $10 for a feast...I'm game.

Going to check out the gamblers bookstore Monday. Maybe Fremont street as well before the NBA games start.

Gentleman Jack on the rocks seems to taste better at the Wynn tonight.

The other thing I'm adjusting to is the lack of sleep. Poker til 4am and getting up at 8am to get to the book for the early games. I have had a few naps in the sportsbook during the day. Quick 20 minute recharges. Other than that I think I the idea of the grind gives me the energy to get through the day. As in "fuck its Friday night the poker games are going to be good somewhere".

I'm enjoying it very much. What is actually helping the process is the solo act. No one to answer to. I do what I want. I also have to make sure to get to the gym, eat foods that dont put me in crash mode aka limit carbs and then of course to cap games and recap poker hands I've played to make sure I'm putting myself in good spots.

I'm not going to lie. Not sure i could attempt this with even a girlfriend much less a wife or a kid. Actually i guess that's why fezzik cant win anymore. Home life vig.

Thanks, WW, nice to be unbroke for a change . . . had snagged some branches before I got the wheels up a couple of times there.

Sports, although your life out here has been a model of Zen-like balance so far, I'm with WW, a job still wouldn't hurt. : ^ )

And mobile apps -- saves security from having to try and figure out during those naps whether you're a player or just some homeless person who drifted in.

Then you don't need to rush down to a book at 8 am, and you can probably live stream games, etc. on your phone, tablet or laptop over coffee.

A stable home situation really, really doesn't disqualify someone from picking winners. Very poetic to live like a rock star, like Bon Jovi in the Wanted, Dead or Alive music video, but it really isn't a precondition to hitting better than 52.38%.

But for advice that you might follow, lol . . . I find that I usually get stronger comp drinks by toking the bartender well on the first one. Failing that, I find a different bartender who will respond appropriately, and has a better memory.

It never hurts to be a George in Vegas, or even better a King George.

Been tapped on my shoulder more than a few times over the years by those rent a cops telling me I can't sleep here. If you're a bit hungover and sitting there 4-6 hours watching games it's not hard to close your eyes for a quick cap nap to get rejuvenated. lol.

And if he purchased a Nitro account from me I could help him install it on his phone or tablet and there wouldn't be a game or event he would miss all for $15 a month.

Good points by some very smart dudes. Will seriously consider a part time job in the near future as little income will help financially and probably more on the mental side.

Last night was another Wynn poker night. Jesus the action at 1/3 no. 500 and 600 pots with 3 people and a single par winning with bad kickers. People playing any 2 suited cards chasing flushes and straights. I lost a $400 pot with 87hh on a rivered flush when I bet $80 on the river and got called by the T6hh. I yelled no in a fun way and gave the guy a high 5. The amount of action these multi language players give is endless.

I'm starting to believe I have a new poker home. Oh and add another 4 parker's beauties to the cocktail hotties list. Christ. God bless the HR hiring staff at the Wynn. I wonder if Harvey Weinstein is on the hiring committee.

If few 5-5 tables it is nice when players play below their means and hit 1-3 tables. Don't think that happens Friday and Saturday in low limit tables.

Last night concluded my fourth week in Vegas. I got another taste of the ups and downs of this city.

Sports -1,050
Poker +720

Week 4 results.

Poker +1325
Sports +1,361.20
Total:+2,886.20

Totals since moving out here
Poker +2,130
Sports +1,361.20
Total: $3,491.20

Got to meet the legend chuckyg yesterday for lunch and some cbb talk. That dude is an injury guru. I dont think he misses if a fingernail is too long on a teams leading 3 pt shooter.

Today I have scheduled a lunch meeting with the godfather of this site. Plus a few other legends might be in attendance. Looking forward to that.

Wynn poker is my new home. Hands down the best action in the town. Super money in that room.

Sporty, you had me worried there for a minute. I thought those first numbers were for the week. Great week. Keep bearing down and focusing.
Good Luck.

Just left Sporty after dining at The Stratosphere, a hotel-casino rebranding to "The Strat" this summer.

Sporty is a good guy and a smart guy.

Bill O'Brien, Ron Boyles and David Dineen also dined with us.

For those who have yet to meet Sporty, he's level-headed and forward-thinking.

Every word from his mouth is measured.

If he gambles like he talks, he has a chance to survive in Las Vegas without a 9-to-5 job.

I think he can win money with his skills and opinions.

That was a special treat listening to that group talk stories and basketball. The mind that David and skinny has for players and where they played is amazing.

John's power rating is raised for flipping the bill for the meal and the treat. I'll ignore dropping his rating with the -ev move of starting with a large plate of lettuce.

That was very interesting to sit in on.

Found a nice sportsbook with no lines and open seating. Palace station.

I spoke with someone at venetion about how much a seat costs. He said 10k in action for the normal seats and 30k for the reserved ones.

Every strip book is reserved seating. Even the chairs lined up along the walls. How special.

Wisconsin as the only big 10 team to not cover in round one cost me a nice 5 team parlay ticket from the breakfast club. Thanks again you guys.

Our pleasure, Sporty.

I was rooting for you.

Parlay bets 5 minutes before the games go off should be outlawed. Clogs up the line. Also cashing tickets without placing another wager should have their own window.

Poker update. Over pairs vs flopped sets crush your bankroll. Luckily March madness has been okay.

Not sure after seeing March madness u would plan a trip out here. Reasons. Most downtown books are standing room only. No seats anywhere. Have to pay for a seat which then locks you into that sportsbook for the weekend which takes away from getting good numbers. Palace station was great to watch games at. No lines to bet and open seating.

Saw a guy verbally attack a will hill ticket writer over $50. Didnt see how it started but 4 renta cops were at the window and the comment of "you're a piece of shit" was shouted about a dozen times.

Mirage gave out so many drink tickets you could have just stood at the book and had people hand you the tickets they couldn't drink. Well done.

Feels good to get through the weekend. Zombies walked the strip from Saturday afternoon on. Back to normal life for those dudes.

March Madness in Las Vegas is grossly overrated.

Too many tourists to battle.

I prefer the week before the invasion and the week after the invasion.
