10:30 pm EDT/7:30 pm PDT (ESPN3, League Pass, Spectrum SportsNet)—Can we be totally honest here about Labor Day and 3-day holidays in the Modern Idiot-USA World? The Truth for many is that they make themselves 5-day weekends out of it, bailing and flailing and waiting and being maxi-lazy the Friday before and then letting employers down the following Tuesday (today) by either being groggy from the Drugs and Alcohol they consumed, calling in Sick, taking too long to get back into the groove, or just doing nothing because they are mad they “have to” be back at work. Be lucky you have a job you stupid fuck. I would employ nobody as I would trust nobody in the Smartphone Age where personal distraction is a right and people act like they can use these things 24/7 wherever. I might employ my Cat and pay him with Chicken.

I talked to a Customer Service woman at Cox who had to chastise her daughter for walking the Cows with one hand and talking on the Smartphone with the other. When I worked at the Las Vegas Review-Journal (View Newspapers), all of the reporters would take and make phone calls whenever, often under the auspices of “reporting.” When not on the Smartphone, reporters would scan the Internet for Bullshit and waste their Time. I would actually work at Work. Like Farmers and Waitresses. A novel concept. I cannot stand working around Modern People, entitled to do nothing and have the audacity to be Mad about it. Even the free-thinking, Atheistic Liberals I sometimes relate with. These days, almost everyone’s waiting to be offended. Fuck off. Embrace context.

Soon, I will write about this WNBA Pick. Now is that time. Host Los Angeles (19-11) has a reason to care while visiting Atlanta (7-24), as you can see, has 2 Wins in its L16 games after losing 92-75 at Seattle on Sunday, and both W’s coming on the Road and recent. But the Dream beat the Liberty (10-21) and Wings (9-22) in those victories, so nothing to write home about if anyone ever still writes home. And, Atlanta’s previous 3 Road losses were all close games (9, 4 5). So, why a blowout vs the Candace Parker and the Sparks here? Your awakeness already exists within you.

Tiffany Hayes and Atlanta (L10 of 13 Road, 1-4 ATS L5 1 Day Rest) should be tired and will be playing a game that will end after Midnight in their Atlanta Body Clocks against a team with many scoring options and motivated to stay in the top 4 in the overall WNBA Standings. The Sparks are 12-2 at Home, playing the worst team with the worst Point Differential (-7.9 ppg) and coming off a Loss (to the Aces here in Viva Las Vegas on Saturday night.) LA won 76-71 in OT in the first meeting in Hotlanta and then won the second one, 78-66, also in Atlanta, thanks to a 32-15 4th Quarter. In both meetings, leader and cagey old vet Candace Parker didn’t play. That matters. Here, Nneka Ogwumike (Illness) is listed as Questionable. The current Odds: LA -13, Total 157 (Heritage).

Despite the strong series Trends pointing to the Dream—19-7 ATS vs LA, 7-1 ATS L8 at LA—backing Los Sparkos (6-1 ATS L7 Home) in this spot in Lalaland at the Staples Center (Wood) where they will be giving a passel full o’ Points. Atlanta gets blown out on the Road vs quality teams (SEA on Sunday, WASH), and it’s time for another double-digit Loss. Expect balanced scoring from the Sparks with 6 players scoring double-digits (Parker, N. Ogwumike, Grey, Williams, C. Ogwumike and 3-point specialist Ruffin-Pratt if they come to play and not Rest for the Playoffs). I shred AP Stylebook with with my jagged teeth.

The Dream fell behind 28-16 after 1Q in the Emerald City and we can probably expect the same here in Lipstick City. I am unsure if I will bet as the WNBA can take precious Time off a sista’s Life and may come down to a meaningless last-minute possession. Still, LA needs a “W” here. Three big things? The game is at Home, Angel McCoughtry is in street clothes (ACL-MCL-Bone Bruise, Out for Season) and Parker didn’t play in the first 2 meetings with the Dream.

Sparks 88 Dream 70

Member’s Note: No need to think like a clone and do what everyone else is doing because they are doing it. JK and the WNBA is a great example. Nobody ever talked about or gave WNBA betting any love or real permanent attention until John Kelly. He did for the WNBA what Teddy Sevransky did for Arena Football back in the day. And JK has stayed firm because he follows his Soul and his Soul likes the WNBA. If Prince kept playing basketball because all of the other dudes did, he would have never picked up a guitar. Groupthink just wouldn’t work for Prince. Follow your passion(s).

The WNBA may have attendance realities and be propped up by the NBA, but it serves many purposes in the bigger picture and is well worth the money in my opinion in that it creates Employment and Entertainment for so many and sends a great message to Women in the US, about Health, Competition, Goals, Achievement, Teamwork and Class. Leslie, Taurasi, Parker, Moore, Delle Donne and others give Girls someone to look up to. And that can be really important for them, with us not knowing who is in their real lives to look up to. And that’s a pretty cool thing these days.

Do prop bets posted without a "betting number" (or no existing "betting number") count as bets in ones record in this thread? See, for example, some of the previous posts in this thread. The rules state:

1) Post ONE play only (All plays are risking x to win one unit OR risking 1 unit to win y)
2) Include betting numbers with current price and available sports book
3) Do not edit your play or it will be graded as a loss
