Sheldon Adelson has died at the age of 87. Sands Corporation releases statement saying he died from complications of his long fight with cancer. Las Vegas loses a casino giant.

Wonder how many contractors and sub-contractors saying today, hope it was a painful death. For those that don't know Adelson was legendary for not paying for work done on his construction projects. The contractors didn't have the money to fight him in court so he financially ruined many of these small companies. Makes sense that he was good buddies with Trump.

Same exact report the contractors who worked on Trump's properties claimed. The lawsuit fights for the money they deserved and earned, many got fucked in the end.

Adelson was so dirty....he paid off the temporary AG before Barr to write an opinion to ban online gaming.

It was funny following the money through charitable organizations to get to the AG.

Am I sad he died? NO

He had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Said it before - will say it again. ANYONE who has had cancer is part of a "family" in which we wish for nothing but the best for all "family" members. Even loathsome bastards like Sheldon. And Rush Limbaugh. Knowing what I went thru and knowing he went thru many of the same things I would not wish that on anyone. Even someone like him.

Sheldon Adelson broke through in business in the late 1970's when he and a couple of partners developed COMDEX, a trade show for the booming computer industry.

Of course, COMDEX was held in mid-November in Las Vegas, centered around the LV Convention Center and the LV Hilton. I went to many of them in the 80's.

Met Adelson once, vendors would sign up a year in advance for booth space, I remember once it got popular, one large booth space (rented for 5 days) usually went for about the same as the purchase price of a house in San Jose, CA.

Adelson’s wife Miriam, 75, already controls the bulk of the shares owned by the family through a series of trusts.

In some cases, she shares that authority with her husband’s longtime friend and business associate, Irwin Chafetz, 84.

In total, the family owns just under 57% of the stock, a stake worth some $24 billion.

Adelson leaves behind a number of potential heirs.

These include two surviving children from his first marriage; Miriam’s two daughters from her first husband; and two sons she and Adelson had together, who are now in their 20s.

No. COMDEX and CES co-existed as two of the biggest commercial trade shows in Vegas for years. Eventually COMDEX ran out of steam, lost attendance and was abandoned. Adelson had cashed out to the tune of over $800M by then.

At the end of the day everyone ends up dead. All that money didn't do Sheldon any good and his family could care less about him. I doubt they ever visit his grave.
