Covid is respiratory virus, it'll always be around, so herd immunity meaning it'll disappear will never happen, it can and will become like all other cold or flu virus's where it pops up from time to time but is of little real concern.

Research hasn't shown it yet, because immunity hasn't worn off en masse in the nearly two years the virus has been present in the population.

The UK puts the probability of reinfection at 0.4%. In other words, 99.6% of people who have recovered won't get infected again currently.

However, research HAS shown that the Pfizer vaccine is nearly useless at preventing infection after 6 months.

It's no longer about infection. It's now about staying out of the hospital which is the primary indicator of vaccine effacy. To that end, vax appear to be doing that. How long without booster is anyone's guess at this point. We really are in a phase 3 position.

You don't need to know because we have percentages. We have the percentage of the population vaccinated and the percentages of the people who die that are fully vaccinated.

If 57% of the population in Illinois is fully vaccinated and 40% of the deaths are of fully vaccinated people, the vaccination isn't helping much at all - if any.

They use the total death numbers from October 21-27 but the breakthrough numbers are released on Wednesday mornings (which would be the 27th) before that day's death numbers are released. So I use the seven days previous ending with the day before the breakthrough numbers are released (which would be up to the 26th).

Either way you cut it, it's 40.44% AT A MINIMUM.
