Track is muddy for the early races.

Interesting angles for the 4th race:

Orpheus is 4 out of 8 lifetime on wet tracks and has hit the board 7 out of 8. River Dreams has hit the board 6 out of 8, and 2 of his 3 wins are on the slop

I got a feeling the 6 runs a big race in the 1st at Saratoga as a longshot.

I have 3,5,6,8 in the first leg of the pick 5.

My horses-to-watch list is comprised of only one horse from the Opening Day card.

Impazible Donna, who came flying late to finish second beaten less than a length as the 2/1 favorite in the fifth race, should benefit from her lifetime debut.

Only problem: She jumped off the screen to anyone and everyone who follows the replays.

I'll look for some subtle trouble from Friday's card.

Derby Memories won the Friday opener.

Morning-line price was 6/1.

Closing price was 3/1.

The 8/5 program favorite French Revolution was ignored at the windows and closed at 7/2.

Finished a no-threat fourth.

Winner won by 14 and 3/4 lengths, according to the Equibase chart.

Larry Collmus called it a 12-length win.

Would love to see how much money backed the winner in the rich Pick 5 pool.

Early Pick 5 pool today was a healthy $794,000+.

Track was listed fast at the start of the day.

Turf course rated yielding for Friday's third race.

Jock Tyler Gaffalione with an excellent ride aboard Conquest Hardcandy to win by three-parts of a length.

Conquest Hardcandy was the fourth choice at odds of 4/1.

Big Muddy made his late run a winning one in the fourth race.

Got up in the final strides as part of a quartet spread across the track.

Favored Soul P Say was gobbled up in the final 50 yards to finish fourth at 17/10.

Felix in Fabula won the race and Curlin Road finished second.

Jose Ortiz was aboard the winner and Irad Jr. rode the runner-up.

The two favorites dominated the seventh race from start to finish.

Filly Dilly outran Saloon Girl in the five-and-a-half furlong sprint race.

Only a five-horse field in the eighth race and the two favorites dueled one another to defeat.

Order of finish: 7-1-6.

The winner, Fiery Duel, benefited from a perfect stalking trip.

A spill in the tenth and final race as the 3/5 favorite Fight Night fell immediately after crossing the wire in a second-place performance to Accabonac Harbor.

Jockey Javier Castellano fell hard but he escaped serious injury and walked off under his own power.

Fight Night, on the other hand, was euthanized after suffering a broken right ankle.

Big attendance number (34,285) for Sunday's card at Saratoga.

The track was giving away picnic coolers.

The number of attendees may have included a significant number of "spinners," patrons who pay admission more than once to take advantage of a premium gift.

Grandstand admission at Saratoga is $7.

Singled the 2 in the 9th for the late pick 5.

Loves the muddy track... she’s won the last 2 on a sloppy/muddy track, and finished 2nd at 16/1 on the slop before that.

Talk Vueve to me has never run on a muddy track before

Some hurt more than others.

Was 3 out of 3 on the pick 5, with $17 and $34 winners.

Single the 2 and loses by 1/2 length.

Was looking at 4K+
