Florida sandwiched a poor defensive outing against Boston losing 5-2 with wins at home against Buffalo 3-2 and on the road against the Islanders 3-1. The Rangers have shored up their D in winning their last two by allowing one goal each against Atlanta and New Jersey at home. The Rangers also have not allowed 30 shots in a games yet this season.
