Interesting about Alcindor. The ABA had a million dollar check for him to be given by then commissioner Mikan. Instead he lowballed
Alcindor's team and never offered the check, Alcindor signed with the Bucks. He wanted to stay in NY with the ABA Nets.

As far as staying in New York Goes....... Surprised he Left to go play out West at UCLA.

Jackie Robinson , a UCLA Alum , was instrumental in making it happen.

Robinson wrote him a Letter , begging him to sign with UCLA.

Front man for the group Boston who imo had the best debut album of all-time
Boston is my favorite band of all time. I remember the first time I heard their debut album, I was blown away, I'd never heard anything like it, and to this day it's still my favorite album of all time, I saw them in concert twice, about 25 years apart

Rolling stone Magazine disagrees.
Their selection for number one best debut album was by The Ramones.
Interesting list they published counting down the top 100 debut pop/rock albums of all time.

To each his own I’d say.
