episode #2 was good too. Who is this David Halpern. Never heard of him. Kind of has a dark undertone to it but most gambling "reality" shows seem to portray it. Nature of the beast I guess. They have to make it seem kind of glamorous I guess. To watch real pros bet and do their research would not make good TV.

Kind of sad they haven't mentioned Billy Walters yet. He is the best of all time.

The best sports bettors of all time are a dozen or so guys you have never heard of.

And that's because they want it that way.

Part 3 very boring. Blah. Heavy into Daily Fantasy.

Bettors and Cappers sweating games.

Won't go past four episodes (Opinion). Can't do much more with these characters.

Does expose Krackman as runner for Warren Sharp. Most people knew this already because Krackman always said he uses other peoples plays.

He didn't expose the other computer guys he runs bets for.

Pretty sure last week Vegas Dave said he’s at 80% win rate on his “whale plays”.
Amazingly talented, I’d say.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall in one of the episodes him saying he doesn't bet his own plays, you would think someone with the ability to hit at an 80% clip would be betting those plays

I binged all 3 episodes. Here are my takeaways. I have not enjoyed my interactions with Krack so Im going to leave him out of my review. Not a bad guy just not my cup of tea.

Kelly is intelligent and has a realistic view on her cieling and floor. She's also the only likeable character in every episode. She's not a good handicapper, yet. She's 5 years in and I believe her ceiling as a earner is limited with age in broadcasting but not as handicapper if she continues to apply herself.

Vegas Dave is dying. He is suicidal and I am not kidding. I've been in the arena 20 years now and have seen plenty Daves. He hates himself and his comments about working hard are false, he feels guilt and emptiness. He has cars, condos and not one person to have lunch with. He's the instagram model of sports betting who eventually sells out and starts escorting and becomes so toxic she cant find a single soul who will call to say hi.
He is screaming for help but also wants to show confidence. Bad combo. By his own admission he would rather make money than have sex, thats the lack of self love and convincing that kills gamblers/people in general.

The dfs star I related to. He is driven, very smart (smarter than most including me) and understands variance. He is making 1m a year but has roomates which is telling. He either hoards money and has a unhealthy fear of going broke (i relate) or can't be alone. Regardless he's the only earner off of skill alone.

The retired investment broker who has to chug a liter of vodka to do a interview was the least likeable individual of all. He is heard saying Tua to win the heisman is the easiest and largest bet of the year. He might be a terrific handicapper but he is too big for a 4 cent scalp while another individual on the show is dying to find one. His complaint on comped Champaign is laughable. Something tells me they'll upgrade it often as long as he keeps hitting submit. Also shows he can get 30k down on a app.. i don't know many I call friends with that option.

Lastly I think I connected on some level with the guy who's sweating every game at the book. He's dark and the star of the show for me. He's what they want to portray as a cautionary tale. He's going crazy over 40$ bets in the beginning then grabbing the dolphins for 2k by the afternoon games.
I don't relate to him at all but I like him.

He is miserable sure but let's face it he was miserable in NYC, miserable in LA and now has some cute chick flying to Vegas to sweat games with him and while his health is sure to fail him he laughs and in a world where he is sure to be miserable no matter the location, occupation he feels at home in the book. Fine by me.

They showed 2 seperate clips of cigareette mike who is the oddest gambler I have ever met. Plays midstakes mix game poker at the A, V and B and wins a hand wanders off to smoke.. loses for hours no smoke. Wins one and rewards himself lol. He was smoking on the show must have been a good day!

Show is a 2/10 from realistic view of professional gamblers.
8/10 of entertainment value.
Its well produced and enjoyable. I'll pass on season 2 if its all the same characters though. It's gonna get beyond depressing imo.

krack doesnt handicap shit. hes always been a runner and his only "opinions" are when numbers are off market or stale. outs are drying up for the steam chaser market, so hes now pimping his own brand in an effort to sell picks to folks who think hes sharp with his vsin/showtime pub

Vegas Dave is such a weirdo.. not sure wtf is wrong with him specifically, but somethings not right.

Krackman is annoying

Kelly is very surprisingly, the best character in this show

Drink you're a smart guy. Spot on with your analysis of the characters on the show. Hit it on the head with KIV.

A friend of mine from high school told me to find Krackman 7 years ago. My friend is a high limit Omaha player and told me Krack was the best sports bettor in town. I have never met Krack but I also keep to myself a lot when I'm out except the guys at my local book. I trust my friend's assessment that Krack knows what he's doing.

I think he is looking for publicity to help him keep his outs.

Gamblers shine away from the spotlight.

Runners don't because they can't handicap on their own and stand to lose business when they get cut off or have their limits dropped. Krack's clients will look to employ other runners which cuts into the Krackmane's profits if he can't get down for his clients. Gamblers can wait is out, runners can't because at anytime a client can cut bait.

Runners complain the most and loudest. So Krack becomes a Sportsbook Bully.

That's why the need for the publicity to threaten books with negative publicity over their different platforms.

He kept repeating that the patriots were 8-0 at home as his only reasoning for taking the pats vs chargers

I hope it does deeper than that.

For any hardcore fans of Showtime-Action, the guy Drnk talks about here was on Gill’s VSIN segment today (his interview started about 2 hours into the show)

correct that is why vegas dave charges 5k for his best plays

:)
Lol true.

There are a few people in my fantasy football league that are in a much bigger stakes league. They only care about drinking at the draft. They are the customer that Vegas Dave attracts. These people at the draft are successful businessmen and will throw $500 on a game just because. They don’t know about the forums or care about them.

I just watched it and was suprised actually. It was decent for the most part but everybody who gambles can relate with everybody on the show in some form or fashion.

I believe Vegas Dave has an addiction he cant control and turned to social media and selling to feed his addiction. Its lethal especially combined with his type of personality. I can relate when I win but you get sent back down to reality when you lose. Highs and lows.

Krack seems decent but theres nothing gritty or proud about moving a line. It doesnt guarantee wins or success.

Kelly understands but you cant turn back when you sell your soul just like Vegas Dave.

Overweight guy probably represents most gamblers. Extreme but if you're not careful you can go broke in a second.

Guy from Chicago shows we still are gambling on human beings and no model or computer can guarantee success alone. Lonely guy who should be lucky to be living with others just to keep sane.

I believe as gamblers we can all relate to these people in one way or another. The moral of the story is about control. Control your bet amounts, your greed, your habits whether its alcohol or food or whatever.

I’ll disagree about taking pride in moving the line. It may not guarantee winning, but it guarantees getting the number you want. How many bet a bad number?

Not many. Name of the game is to get the best number but there are a lot of obstacles in the way that alter things constantly. Maybe pride was the wrong way to describe what I meant. I see no reason any gambler should feel good or happy even when they got the best of it before game.

I love Detroit Milwaukee under tonight. I'm a strong believer in Milwaukee having just as good of a defense as their offense. 219. If I or anybody moves it to 218. I or they should make note but shouldnt feel sense of success. After all, it's just an opinion and prediction.

His action is respected enough where he can move the line to get the number he really wants.

It's a boring and stressful way to make money. It's not for TV. Anybody who sells and makes a profit off others as far as pick selling cant win themselves.

Finally watched all 4 episodes. Very interesting. I thought Vegas Dave is a scumbag, felt bad for his parents. They don't know how to say no to him. The Todd guy is the type of character that we have all met in the sportsbook at one time or another. Kelly in Vegas is actually on twitter, offering to the a proxy for the supercontest. Wish they would have had the illegal bookie on more and hear some of his stories. Good entertainment, heard the filmaker hopes to have a season two next year.

This Todd guy and his girl were on with gil on the numbers game Monday. This guy has the personality and stories to become a feature if there is a season 2. Great listen.

His girl is odd. Saw her and Todd at westgate eating on Sunday night. She's that above average cute range. This is a beauty and the beast situation.

Todd is a great listen.

In short, used Social Security numbers that were made up or belonging to others to open sports betting accounts
across town to 1) avoid taxes and 2) CTR filings.

Exactly. I can't think of a more boring show idea than to actually document a True Pro's day. It's just not what they make it out to be; at least I think becuase I haven't seen the show.
